Much to hubby's dismay I do not "enjoy" swallowing. Mostly due to texture, partially due to taste. I do it, but then it bothers him knowing I don't enjoy it as much.

We've tried the pineapple juice...actually there is a BJ cocktail but I couldn't find it in my files! I remember it had pineapple juice, cinnamon and eggnog in it.

Unfortunately it didn't work as well as we had hoped.

Foods to avoid:
Asparagus
red meat
fish
salty foods
chemically processes liquor
garlic
onion
cabbage
Broccoli
Cauliflower

Just because you "like" garlic doesn't mean it will improve the taste. While it may taste (or more likely smell) more garlicky, it will actually change the taste to be more bitter, not just garlicky.

Nicotine of any type can also strongly affect the taste.

Sweets obviously improves it. This is true too for women.

Foods to reportedly improve the taste:
anything high in fructose like fruits
cranberry juice, pineapple juice citrus
parsley
celery
naturally fermented alcohol (beer, wine, etc)
cinnamon
cardamon
Peppermint
lemon




Vitamin C thins the consistency.

The problem is, that unless you completely change your diet, there will always be a lingering affect from the "wrong" foods you eat.

Despite what you eat, semen contains about 12 to 15 calories per ejaculation - I've yet to find the carb count!

Mary, thanks for staying on-topic. Great info you've provided. We too have discovered the garlic problem, but it is especially bad for us since we both LOVE garlic and use it in almost everything that we cook.

Another problem: my darling says that increased alcohol intake increases the bitterness (and also seems to make it more acidic and thus "burn" a bit). MAJOR problem, since we both LOVE a good bottle of wine.

Anyone else have a problem with "wine/alcohol versus flavor?" I would expect this to be a bigger problem at Hedo, since the alcohol intake will (ahem) "probably" exceed the normal, home-level intake.

Hank...I've not noticed as Jim doesn't drink alcohol but from what I've read "naturally fermented" alcohol is suppose to IMPROVE the taste? Wouldn't wine be considered naturally fermented or is that just beer?

Mary, I'm actually a homebrewer and hobbyist winemaker, and both are fermented with basically the same yeasts. Different strains, but basically the same species. So, I don't know. Maybe my darling wife is fibbing to me, to avoid this particular activity, LOL
