Trip Report Ten Lessons on Visiting Hedo II

Good blog/forum talk. I couldn't have said it better. I would also have to admit, that I'd much prefer paying the extra money to fly Tim air. Having gone through TSA security, then through a short but tiring flight, you really don't want to be knocked back and forth all over the roads. It was a rough ride. Plus the bus had a few hedoites, but a lot of family too.
The return flight was gorgeous, bring your cameras. The video of the ganja fields will be posted if i can find how to do it. But its pretty awesome.

Had to throw in my report about the shuttle because the ride was actually a fun intro to our great first Hedo experience. My husband is an anxious traveler but even he enjoyed the ride. It probably helped that we were with seasoned Hedo travelers so we just followed their lead. BEST ADVICE about your first trip to Hedo - take to heart the Jamaican motto "No Problem Mon!". Relax, chill out, and grab a beer! When we got to the Super Clubs Hedo arrival area in the airport, there was a problem with our reservation. No worries, we grabbed a Red Stripe, they got us a shuttle, we grabbed 2 more beers each and off we went! Our group was the only one on the shuttle and the driver was very friendly with great sense of humor. I love seeing different places so the bumpy, winding, sometimes fast, sometimes unnerving, drive was really interesting to me. So many sights I would have missed from the air. Halfway there we all had to pee sooooooo bad it was painful! Of course we are laughing so hard and half-way drunk so that didin't help! As I hear it, every bus driver has a place to stop, so he stopped us at a little store/shack/restuarant/bathrooms in the back "rest-stop" where we could relieve our bladders and buy more beer. They had jerk chicken roasting on the porch - smelled sooo good - but we were in a hurry to get in the pool so we grabbed 2 more red stripes each and we were back on the bus. By the time we got to Hedo we had to be poured out of the bus. Since we were already relaxed and happy it made dealing with our botched reservation much less stressful. The friendly staff and helpful receptionist were very patient with our giggling and got everything straightened out for us No Problem Mon!

I love reading my first trip report. So many great memories for this trip and the five or six trips that have followed... whos counting? Now we just count down til our next trip. I was reading reports from the other resorts and it seems nothing can replace hedo II, the fun, the people, the experience. Damn DIF

EDIT - Yes I do remember reading it now, but still a great read. The only thing I have to disagree with you on is - it is better to know people before you go down. Yes you will get to know people there, but if you are part of a group that chats before you go and has a private fb page, then it is like Cheers when you get there, everyone knows your name

It's almost like you fast forward two days past there, where you from and so on

I have felt that since the first time I went and before I could even get into the pool someone called out our names to say hey. Made a world of difference!

Just an update to one of the "lessons", there are now 2 sets of steps leading into the hot tub with rails on them so it is very easy to get in and out of without having to "judge" how deep to step after a few adult beverages.
