    Hedo II Nudity Question...

So I noticed that at H3 there's a clothing optional pool, but didn't see anything like this at H2. Are people allowed to hang out in the nude pool/beach area at H2 with a bottom still on (topless), or do you have to be totally bare?

I belive the nude pool means totally nude, however the prude area allows you to be topless almost everywhere.

Yes, nude is nude. The prude side is technically topless for women (and men),
but not bottomless. The times that we were there, though, I only have seen
topless women on the prude side once or twice. There is no 'take your pick'
    area.

I've even seen a couple of couples walking on to the nude beach, obviously
checking out the scene to see if they had the guts to strip, being told by
the security guards that they had to remove their suits or leave. Each time
the couple left the beach. It was always non-confrontational, and I hope
the couples got the nerve and came back later, but they can be serious
    about it.

If you're nervous about being nude (maybe your first time) I will say that when
everyone is nude, being nude ends up not being a big thing. At least that's
the way it was for my wife and I on our first trip when we were nervous at
never having been nude around other people before in our lives.

Yes it will be first time, I'm not sure how my lady and I will feel about being totally nude...But I know for sure being amongst the nudity of others won't bother us...

I guess I would just hate to have one or both of us be uncomfortable going nude and then wind up stuck with like no one on the prude side...Because nude or not we are there to socialize, meet people, party and have fun!

When my wife and I went last December it was our first time to a place with
open nudity and such a sexual atmosphere. We weren't sure at all about even
going. It scared us and we talked several times about if when we got there if
it was too much for us we would see about a transfer to Breezes.

At the same time, we thought we really wanted to do it, so much so that we
booked a room on the nude side. When we got there, we checked in and
were taken to our room. We unpacked a little and then decided to go to the
    beach.

We greased each other up with suntan lotion, wrapped towels around
ourselves, and went to the nude beach. We were scared beyond belief.
this was so far outside our zone that it wasn't even on the same map.

We started to walk up the sand with our towels still around us. We hadn't
gone 25 yards, looking around at all the naked people, when we looked at each
other, and said, 'What the hell...'

The towels came off and never went back on the whole time we were there.
And we never went to the prude beach the whole time we were there.

I have to say, we're not nudists, but spending that week nude almost all the
time was the most refreshing and relaxing time we've had in a long time. It
    was amazing...

So, my suggestion, if you think you want to do it, but are scared, just
jump in. The first 15 second might be the most terrifying 15 seconds of your
life, but if you're like us (and apparently quite a lot of other people) after
that you find the pure joy of being naked almost like an addicting drug.

Since that first trip last December we've made a second trip in September and
are now planning our third one for some time in the late spring of 2008. If that
goes well, and we have no reason to think it won't, that could be what we
hope will be an annual spring trip for us.

Oh yes! It was my first time being nude with other people. And first time to witness people having exciting sex in the open. I came to H3 with open minded and keep telling myself to just relax and enjoy what ever come N go.

    Also scared..........

I totally understand how you are feeling. I am a single female with a less than perfect 10 body (I would rate myself maybe a 3 to be honest) and am traveling to H2 for New Year's alone. I have never been nude in front of a group of people in my life but there is a part of me that really wants to go there and let myself fully enjoy the atomsphere. I am just not sure that my own self-consciousness will allow me to do that. Being topless for me is no big issue but being totally nude scares the crap out of me. Perhaps I am just more apprehensive because I am traveling solo and it appears from the posts that most people there during the same time as me are couples. I am a fun person to be around and have no trouble fitting into crowds. Like you I too am worried about what will happen if I get there and realize that Hedo isn't the place for me. I will wind up driving myself crazy worrying over what will or will not happen before it even happens.......LOL

I have said this before... Once nude, you will NEVER vacation again, unless with kids, where you can't go nude again. It's a new world and whatever images you have in your head... erase them... Hedo will be nothing like you expect and 10 times better. I can't say that enough. Don't even consider spending 5 seconds with your clothes on. You will feel like you just fell into a soft comfortable chair once the clothes come off. Hell, our first trip, I would get naked each night and run to the nude bar to get drinks while my wife was getting ready for dinner, just so I could get naked one more time.

It left me feeling better about life and all that it offers. PLEASE stop the worry and enjoy. I promise, your trip reports (and you better write them when you get back) will all be testimonials to just how "right" I am.

Oh, and about being OK with topless, but not bottomless... FYI we guys will still only focus mainly on the boobs... Yes, I know the real goods are south, but we are still guys and that's what we look at. Plus, when in the pool, or hot tub, that's all we can see anyway... HAVE FUN MON...

Is your glass "half full," or "half empty"... At Hedo, who cares... go ahead and fill it up every time you're near the bar...

I could be wrong about this but I did see some women who had bottoms on the nude side at Hedo III. From what I understand men had to be totally nude and women had to be at least topless. If you think about it, it kinda makes sense. What if Aunt Flow happens to visit the same time that a woman is on vacation. It seems hardly fair that she should suffer from not being allowed on the nude side. However, if this isn't the case for you and your just shy, listen to what everone is saying. I guarantee you'll have a blast if you allow yourself to do so. Good luck!

Actually, for nude-resort virgins, this is why I recommend H3 over H2.

The quad pool is a nice 'courage building spot' to go from suits -> topless -> bottomless.

When you realize nothing untoward occurs when you're all in your birthday suit, (@ the quad pool), you can then mosey on over to the nude pool, wearing nothing but your room key.

    Damn.. can't wait till Feb

Usually the security will tell you to take your bottoms off at hedo III. You may get away with saying you are at that time of the month but that doesn't always cut it. Anyway some people get a bit upset that you're not totally naked and they had to do so. They don't usually say anything much as long as after a while you get naked, too.
