Our a/c quit cooling after 3 days - we were upgraded at no extra charge to a ocean front nude side as all of the other pool side rooms were filled.
I addressed the lack of Crown Royal at the bars to the management - from that point on - no problen mon. Always address your problems with the correct person.
The only real problem we encountered was when the outside locals ( outside painters ) came over to the quad and was gawking. My wife went to the girls room in our poolside room and one of them got sexual with his words and tried to follow her into the room. I confronted the guy - I guess me being a big boy from Alabama caused him to forget he spoke english cause after he realized what was going down he could only say was "no english" . Funny, english is their language.
After he refused to go with me to the office, I went myself. The office manager came out to the pool by this time the worker had scrammed but other guest pointed out the direction he went. We cut the guy off and management fired him on the spot. He was assigned to paint in the Japanese restuarant and being around guests was not in his job description let alone making advances. Just wanted you guys to know that the resort does care about its guests and I'm sure that if you do not go back, you will have cheated yourself immensely. Overall for what we got out of our trip and for the money, we cannot complain. Yes there is always room for improvement but there is always the Ritz Carlton awaiting your gold card.

hello again, everyone. i am sorry, but i just had to jump in here.

you know i love you, uk! you know that...but it shouldn't matter how much/little one earns for doing a job. they should do their job as if they didn't need the money, or they should find another job that gives them a little bit more enjoyment. or, they, like jwoods, could try to make a good thing out of a bad situation. that's what i do, and that's how i live my life, and so far, it's served me very well. i am not saying i am independently wealthy or even to a point where i don't have any debt, but i am grateful for what i do have and no matter what my situation, i know it's all in how i regard it that makes it what it is.

so, in the case of the staff who can't afford better living conditions and are forced to sleep on the floor 4-, 5-, or 6-abreast, and who work ridiculously long hours for only $25 a week, they still should provide the very best customer service being that they work for a resort. a smile and a good attitude go a long way in this world.

and that's coming from someone who always has her glass half full!

    Hey guys,

If you read Jwoods' other thread you will see that he says "he want go back" to Hedo. He didn't say he WON'T go back, he said it at least 3 times, you must take a look at that thread ("Worst vacation ever") He WANTS to go back to HEDO!!!! (Now I am cutting and pasting the same response to a thread.) LMAO

Jeez ease up on the guy, maybe he went by himself and was expecting something he didn't get. (Woods, you couldv'e always paid for it)

I just can't help myself or maybe I am not educated in the art of HIJO DE PUTA.

Sometimes bad things happen to good people, and sometimes bad things happen to some people because that is the only outcome they'll accept.

So without being locked in a room with Jwoods for a couple of days I'm not sure which of the above categories he'd fit into.

In the end I really don't care.

Our first trip to H2 is in 12 days and I have learned something from joining this forum:

-We're hoping we get the room we've booked.
-If we can get one extra clean towel a day between the two of us we'll feel lucky.
    -Musty air conditioning at best.
    -School quality food.
    -Malfunctioning door locks.
-Ordering 2-3 drinks at a time instead of making a trip to the bar every time a single drink runs dry.
-Paying extortion-like prices at the gift/sundries shop.
    -Hurricanes.

    We're also hoping to:

-Fall in love with some of the staff and find a few who we feel honestly compelled to give some of the extra things we are bringing with us.
-Being around naked people who cast off their facade of daily life. We hope that after spending a week of au natural contact with other guest that we will still have no idea of how much money they make, what kind of car they drive or what they do for a living. But we do hope learn what small touch drives them over the edge, what their favorite color is and if they're peeing in the pool.
    -Screw three times a day.
-Love each other for who we are and let those around us love us in the same way.

If you're going to be there after the 23rd we'll see in in less than 2 weeks. You'll recognized us by the shit eating grins on our faces.

And if you've been legitimately wronged then redress will happen with persistence. Otherwise it's just whining.

    Dear Mr JHWoods,

I understand your frustration. After all, ALL "bussiness" owners need to have a "suit" with them at all times. They are just THAT important. I can see how mad you are and I think you should sue them. You may want to contact Judge Pearson in DC area. When his pants were not ready on time, he sued for $54 million. Heck, if he can ask for $54 mil for a pair of pants, you should be able to get twice that for a whole suit. Was it a 3 piecer?? Maybe you can shoot for three times that! Go for it. If nothing else, it will keep you busy and keep you the hell away from our wonderful world of Hedo.

As a veteran Hedo visitor, I am sure I speak for many when I say...do us ALL a favor (including yourself and the Hedo staff) and do not go back---do not even think about it! Quite frankly, neither the Hedo staff nor my fellow guests need or want you around. Negative or miserable people are about as welcome at Hedo as your blackberry. All "BUSSINESS" people have those dont they?

For those of you that are not Hedo vets and are not sure what to make of Mr Woody, may I put it in perspective for you: Hedo is not the Waldorf Astoria in NYC. If you are looking for that, go there, not Hedo.

It is not uncommon for your room not to be ready when you get there--No problem. The most popular flights are those that get you on the resort as early as possible, say around noon-2. The rooms are not usually ready by then. No big deal. They will hold your bags, while you go eat, get a drink, walk around, swim, get naked, whatever.

The rooms are not always perfect. On my most recent (and awesome) trip, I had a slightly leaky AC and some of the TV channels had some static, but I didn't care. Its Hedo, and I didn't go there to sit in a cool room and watch ESPN. I went there to have a good time and that I DID!!!!

While you are there, you probably will find others that have some room issues, but you probably won't find anyone that lets it bother them. What you WILL find is people having an unforgettable experience and one HELL of a good time. You go to the nude pool, you ask for some creative frozen drink and then you sit back with no worries. Something like 90% of people who go to Hedo, go back (and probably another 9% want to but just can't for some reason, such as money.) There is a reason that number is so high and the only way to fully understand that reason is to go and experience Hedo.

The most common complaint---that it is time to go back to the real world.

So Woody my friend, on behalf of the Hedo staff and my fellow "jamericans," please don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out!

Hey Moorerotic, that was a perfectly crafted and thought out response to jwoods statement earlier. I applaud you.

Is your glass "half full," or "half empty"... At Hedo, who cares... go ahead and fill it up every time you're near the bar...

Moore... How come you never take up for me??? (lol)...

Jwoods, I agree that your rant may save some from going. If the things you complained about would ruin their trip, I too prefer they not go. Aside from my smart ass comments earlier (where I was truly not trying to be a dick), you are entitled to your opinion. You do need to realize though, that when you BASH and BASH, you ARE going to get some BACKLASH... You can't walk into McDonalds and get a big following of people to say that the fries suck and suggest that no one try them. That's my redneck logic for today.

Plus, you picked on Emmy with below the belt words and we all like Emmy.

All I can add to JnBluvhedo3's PERFECT reply is...."amen" ....(or is it ayyymon? ) Great post. I have a feeling that Jwoods works for Sandals and is trying to drive up business (that's with ONE s) for them..........I can understand voicing a complaint......ONCE...but to start two separate threads......and post the same thing over and over and over......just makes me suspicious. Any way..great post!!

I wonder how many people that complain about the room not being ready "on time" realize the check in time is after 3pm, not as soon as you get there.

An about the staff and they way they are. All I will say is I could not go to work there 6 days a week for 12 to 16 hours a day with the same smile most of them have. Jamaica is a very poor country. The people on the resort work for slave wages but consider themselves better off than most the people they know. I know I could not do their job. I am way too spoiled.

Hi guys, I am a Caribbean resident (Barbados), and have been to Hedo 2 once before( Dec 2006). I did not have any room problems thankfully, staying in a prude side room. This August me and my wife return to Hedo 2 on the nude side this time and hope for the same outcome. If we do have room issues, who cares, we will be on th ebeach and in the hot tub most of the time any way. I suggets all visitors do the same.

As a West Indian however, let me apologise to Jwoods and all others like him who have been ill-treated. We in the Caribbean are a very easy going and laid back people, and that often translates into our work habits. We are not "Type A", for all the "bussiness" people out there, so don't be surprised to wait 5 mins for something you would generally have in seconds back home.
OK, so some folks maybe were rude, but ya know, which of us/you don't get grumpy when work is coming at you fast, or you didnt leave that problem at home....
A genuine smile and thankyou will usually warm up the staff to you anyway, and from there they will probably remember your name, if that's the kinda service your looking for.

So to everyone reading, please don't let one guy's experience spoil a beautiful adventure for the rest of us.

Keep it irie, keep it sexy.
