The Food???

How is the food, at Hedo III? We are going from July 21st-25th. Is there a place to workout at the resort?

We found the food to be above average but not spectacular. The food at the two restaurants was consistently pretty good, while the food at the buffet was good to sometimes really good.

As far as a gym, it's pretty small but they do have a few machines. We workout 3 times a week and I managed to get over there only once. Had to improvise as to some of the exercises I wanted to do.

whatever you do, try to go out and get some "real" Jamaican food!!! I lucked out and met a cool guy from there and he took me to get some good food -- there is actually a place right down the road from the resort that has good food -- it is like our fast food places here. I had the brown stewed chicken! ummm delicious! Also, if you can wait until the 12 o'clock buffet and they have curry chicken it is the best!!!! Just got back on July 8th! Had a ball!

Did they have Ox tail on the menu ?what was the name of the place ?

If your shooting to eat semi healthy you can never go wrong with selections at the buffet with no loss of flavor. Fruit was always fresh and much sweeter than what we get here. I also LOVED Munasan but some chefs use alittle to much garlic butter

One of the best items on the 12:00 p.m. menu was stir fried monkey brains with vegetables. It was served over rice with a mustard sauce. Be sure to look for it, because you won't find it in the States.

By all means try the food at the Raggee Cafe (Formerly the Scotch Bonnet). The Jerk Chicken and Pork is my favorite for lunch followed by the patties. Lots of good soups there as well. You have to try the coconut chicken soup.

I've seen Ox Tail on the buffet before, not sure if they do it every week though.

The dinner under the stars was a very very nice dinner... I do beleave it was on a Sat night.

OMG! Really? I don't think I will like that jwell, it will take me long enough to get used to Jamaican and American cuisine. Eurgh I don't really have to eat monkey brains do I? I feel yukky now

Is that true or was you kidding me?
