Another first time couple... with a lot of questions

My wife and I are going at the end of April 2023. To preface our neverending questions, we are a middle aged couple who are not swingers or nudist. I conviced my wife to let us do something exciting, but not life threatening, like skydiving, hang gliding as such! We booked a nude side room so that the worst thing that could happened with that decision, is we run into someone we know. But we figure the chances of that are nil!

First question. I always wear a watch and my wedding band. My wife always wears her engagment ring and wedding band and sometimes her Apple Watch. Would that be an issue?

2. Not a big weed smoker, but ingest THC gummies. "All the buzz, but not coughing my head off." I didn't see it offered at the Hedo Weedo shop, but don't know how accurate that info is. Is "candy" available?

Welcome to Hedo, you'll have many questions (we all did) and you'll have many people who can help answer them. Watches, rings, etc. are fine. You will end up in the pool, so I don't recommend the apple watch (or at least make sure everything is water proof). I always recommend my wife bring a fake wedding ring so as to not lose the real one, but she brings the real one anyway. The only time we've had edibles was from off-premisis. A place in town call Connies' is pretty dependable.

While nude may be new for you, you'll get comfortable with it really quick. Best plan of action is to get to room and unpack quickly. Take off all your clothes and just step out of the room. Go straight to the nude pool and get in. Wade up to the bar, get a drink, and in no time you'll be very comfortable in the crowd. You'll be amazed at how easy it is to talk to people when everyone is naked. And don't feel like you have to look people in the face so you 'don't get caught staring'. Folks at Hedo usually like it when you check them out but you will also notice that it is easy to look people in the eye while talking when naked.

Although Ganja has been decriminalized in Jamaica, edibles are still illegal. That doesn't mean that they cannot be obtained, but Hedo Weedo doesn't offer gummies.

The chances of you running into someone you know are very slim but if you do no biggie because I’m sure they aren’t going to tell anyone because that would let their secret out as well.
Not sure I would take my watch to the pool. Wouldn’t want to loose or ruin it but if she still wants to there wouldn’t be an issue as I have seen people wearing them. And wedding rings, well if they are married then most will have them on. I wear mine and my wife wears hers so no issue there either.
For Hedoweedo if you go to the hedo webpage there is a tab for the store and it will tell you what they carry. Unfortunately no gummies but they do have lotion and oils. But if eatables are what you want just walk down to the beach. They are up and down selling brownies and other eatables but be careful. I have seen many people loose a day or 2 off the brownies.

Have fun because you don’t have to be a swing to enjoy your time there. You will not be the only ones.

This post brings back memories of our first trip to Hedo! We have only been twice and hope to go again but there is only one “first time.” For me the experience starts from booking the trip and plane tickets, packing and traveling, the nervousness sets in at the after landing in Jamaica, the anticipation builds on the two hour drive (no turning back now) and finally arriving.

I have become a lifestyle resort/Hedo enthusiast and frequently surf the web for trip reports so I can live vicariously through other people until I can go again. Anyway…

I think it’s great you two are taking a big leap to a place that most people have no idea exists. This resort has a long history and I feel lucky to have found it and attended.

Some thoughts and tips;
- Do not worry about swingers suffocating you, it’s not like that at all. Think if this trip as a romantic getaway for you two that has a highly sexually charged atmosphere and you two can re-connect and have fun wild sex.
- Bring some fun sex toys!
- The prude side is quiet and you two can relax together with swimsuits, topless, or nude.
- The nude side is more of a party atmosphere and you obviously have to be nude so everyone is equal.
- Having been to vanilla resorts and nude/lifestyle resorts I wouldn’t go back to vanilla if I can help it. People are so friendly and approachable at nude resorts. We have gone without knowing anyone and each time got phone numbers to stay in touch.
- Get the wife the scandalous dresses and outfits to wear out to dinner. Let her feel the sexiest she has ever felt. One of my favorite parts of the trip!This is a place where you can play out the fantasies you’ve always wanted to.

I hope you two have such a great time that you want to go back. Don’t be shy in asking any more questions. Everyone had a first time and like someone previously said, “we all had many questions.”

Oh you will enjoy your first time, then be sad because you hadn't found this resort years earlier.
As said previously, that build up on the first trip was terrific and terrifying, not knowing what to expect and what would happen.
Looks like we will be there at the same time as you folks, too.
I usually just wear a cheap waterproof watch and leave the expensive stuff at home, and I would recommend that too.
Jewlery and piercings ( anywhere) are always welcomed though, so it's your choice.
Remember to bring lots of sun screen (30 plus) and use it EVERYWHERE.
Also don't drink too much on day one, and alternate your alcohol consumption with a glass of water.

Yeah it will be quite the experience but if you guys are open minded it will be one of the most amazing experiences of your lives. My wife and I just finished our third trip and as mentioned before are sorry we did not discover it sooner! Get to the room, don't even unpack...grab a towel, get naked and stroll about. We don't swing or lifestyle, never been a problem. This place is the closest to a no judgement zone as you get and no means no here, everyone is very respectful. The only caution i have on the Shiney stuff is if you want to be in the ocean remember that the Cuda like shiny....!

Other resorts have started going to RFID bracelets as your room key. Is this the case for Hedo2, or do you still get plastic keys (and thus need those plastic key bracelets so you don't lose them)?

Yup, H2 has gone modern. Rubber wrist bands that are RFID enabled. Hold it next to your door and it magically unlocks. Lose it and it'll cost you $50.00.

Another question which comes up a lot is "Tipping".
Hedo offically discourages it, and employees can be disciplined for accepting them.
Hedo's line is that the tip is built into the room rate, and is shared with ALL the staff, even the people you don't see, like the cooks.
However, some people insist on tipping anyway, so if you are so inclined, be VERY discreet. There are video cameras around the resort.
Some people like to leave gifts (specialty chocolates, jewelry, tablets, etc) for the cleaning staff, if you do so, leave a note with your name on it with the gift, so that there is no question you left it as a gift.

As for the airport and shuttle, some people leave a $1.00 tip for each bag, for each person that touches the bags from the airport carousel to the resort.
If you request a special stop from the taxi driver, for "supplies" for example, you definitly want to tip him for the extra service.
