    Newbie question about groups

My wife and I are contemplating our first trip to Hedo next April. In looking at both Tom's Trips and Castaway's travel it appears there are three groups (at least) from those two travel companies. Hedo Hotshots, Sulty Seductions and Biffs Bunch are all listed as being there April 22 - 29. How does it work when several groups are there at the same time? One on of the groups mentions a DJ, which I assume would be available to everyone at that area?

Most groups share entertainment with whoever is on site that week, so a DJ could replace the staff DJ for a period of time each day. I am a volunteer castaways group host (in February) and like when multiple groups are in house because it adds different flavors and fun vs when there is a 'takeover'. I am fortunate to have a member volunteer to DJ for our pool party which is for everyone and then this past trip Marc from Topless Travel was DJ different days - we blended styles and it was great. The main resort areas and activities are open to all. Groups would have to rsvp a location to have any private/group only parties when it is not set to be open - like when each has their meet and greet, etc. Price shop (including shuttle transfers, any military, etc. discounts) and then pick the flavor you seem to like the best.

    Welcome T&K to this forum.
We travel in April for two weeks, with two usually, different groups, one being the one you mentioned, Biffs Bunch.
The resort in recent years has discouraged group banners proclaiming their name and presences at the resort. The resort wants to promote all inclusive, regardless of group affiliation.
It's now to the point that the the only way to know who belongs to which group, is by their drinking mug logo's or necklaces, or maybe even a body water decal.
It's all about the party, and you can mix and mingle with which ever group or person you want.
Most group members will be happy to tell you about their group and it's "Vibe"
Our first trip was with the Zoo Krew, where we met the Biffsters, and now we associate with Biffs Bunch and party with the Zoo Krew members. We also identify with the Butt Crack group.
As for the DJ's, usually there is a brawl (some times mud wrestling) between the two groups with the winner playing their music.
OK, that was tongue in cheek.
When two DJ's show up they play there tunes one after the other, there is no fighting.
So from 12:00 to 14:00 one DJ plays, then between 14:00 and 16:00 the other DJ plays.
The benefit here is that you the quest, get 4 hours of music, from two different DJ's.
The DJ's play at the nude pool, FOR EVERYONE, whether you are with a group or flying solo, and a good DJ will play to the crowd.
This year we are traveling with Tom's trips, with SOS and Hedo Hotshots. We have met these group members (members?) in past visits, and I must say they are PARTY animals, should be a fun time again in April. These two groups overlap with the Butt Cracks and Biffs Bunch, so we can also socialize with our friends in these groups.
If you need details on the Butt Cracks or Biffs Bunch, PM me. The advantage of going with a group in our opinion is cheaper accommodation. Once at the resort you are free to party with whoever you like. There are however private functions for group members and swag, but generally you won't miss much if not a member. Some groups for example have private cat cruises that are members only.

thank you both for the responses. Neither my wife nor I are what I would call party people, so I'll have to keep that in mind as we look at potential dates. we2are469, your emphasis of PARTY has me thinking of Florida Spring Break from 30 years ago.

From everything I've read, it seems like booking with a group brings more benefits than negatives -- assuming you don't have a massive disconnect with the group you book with, is that generally a true statement?

    thanks

This resort is great, in that if you want to do nothing, they have a great beach for that. You'll be mostly alone, as I've never seen more than 12 people on the "Prude" or CO side, and the beach is arguably better than the nude side.
You can do all the things you want there, including being naked.
The resort is definitely accommodating to all levels of guests comfort. However, the most fun is on the nude side, but it's YOUR choice.

Booking with a group means you get a reduced rate for the room, on-line chats to meet other members of the group, swag, private parties, and if hosted, an interface with the front office if you have resort or other issues.

As soon as you check in you can abandon your group and do your own thing, and no one will bother or harass you, it's your vaca, do whatever you want.
We have always booked with a group, then done our own thing, but we do mingle with group members and participate in the group chats and on site events.

I would say that booking with a group brings more benefits, however I won't say the discounts are massive.

laugh insanely, fuck like you're the star of a porn film, and forgive quickly.
