Christmas through New Years

Will anybody be planning on being here from Christmas until after New Years?

We went that week last year. Flew in Dec 24th and left the 31st (cause we couldn’t get a room at Hedo for NYE!)
We will NEVER travel to Hedo that week again. Airport was jammed and traffic was horrible. Driver said everyone in Jamaica is on the road on the 24th. Normal travel time to Hedo is hour and a half. It took us close to 5 hours to get to Hedo. We were at a standstill many times during the trip. And traffic on the 31st was almost as bad. The line at the airport literally stretched out the front door. Took us an hour to get our boarding passes from Southwest. Then we dashed to customs. Only reason we didn’t miss our flight was because we had Club Mobay and were able to skip the HUGE line at customs. We were able to get thru and got about a half hour in Club Mobay before having to go to our gate. Will NEVER fly that week again.

How was Hedo itself though? Was it a good time? Hopping/Dead? I get the traffic but we have planned for that with Club Mobay as well. We are also not leaving until 1/2. This is our first time ever to Hedo.
