"How to" help in making first trip choices

    Hi all,

I also posted the below on intro section but read this thread area might yield more responses:

Was on here a few years ago trying to figure out our dip into LS, thats been figured out now ;-)....anyway, we are wanting to do hedo 2 (will be our first time)....we are clueless to joining a group v.s. not, best time to go....basically completely lost and bit overwhelmed with the avenues I've researched about hedo in effort to make it a great trip....we would be saddened to "wing it" and end up there to find it slow, cold and just not much fun.....any help here sure would be appreciated!

    Thanks so much!

Just book and go whenever works best for you, guaranteed good time. In as much as people are what make htis place fun and special.....remember it's about you. That said, you can check various calendars to see what groups may be there while your booking and this may help, it is always nice to be around like minded people, but we have been going for some time and always just book and go, never disappointed. On another note, since your hockeyhounds, are you in Canada ?

Think of this a booking a vacation -- to a place you've never visited. Most people don't book a trip 'with a group'. That makes it easier. Pick your time of year. I would strongly 'suggest' you check the hedo web site to see if any group that is way too 'over the top' for you is there, and avoid, just to make your trip more satisfying. If there's a group that you might like, check their web page. If ti sounds OK, make a booking. Lots of ways to do that including most any regular T/A.

Not much chance of getting a cold or 'cold' welcome at hedo. It's the people (and you) that makes the trip a success. Some guest need the high activity atmosphere. others simply want a quiet day on the beach (in or out of a swimsuit). They are all there. Some/many people need both.

Said many time on this board -- don't overthink your vacation plans. Go with the flow and enjoy the company of the people you are bound to meet. I'd suggest you dial back the LS thinking, at least for the first couple of days.

If you go to hedonism.com, then select "groups and entertainment" and click on "Groups Events", you can see the various groups going and the week they will be there. Many of the groups have websites or contacts where you can learn more about them. There are all kinds of groups, some are mostly nudists, or mostly swingers, groups where the ladies want to hook up, some people like to watch, some like to be watched, some want to relax on the beach, some want to party like rock stars, some are older, some are younger. We're in our 60's, so we won't be going with the Young Swingers, but maybe that is perfect for you. Regardless of what you are looking for, there is a very good chance you will find it at Hedo. We've gone many time with the Fluffs (fluffernutters.com) which is a diverse group of awesome people from all over. I can also recommend Rachal Rascals, Char Travel, and Wild Women Vacations, but there are lots of great groups. Just depends what you are looking for. If you book with a group, many have Facebook groups where you can meet others before the trip. Groups also will give out hats or t-shirts or sarongs, sponsor parties during the week for the group, or do some kind of collection for a charitable cause in Jamaica. Pretty difficult to have a bad time at Hedo, or you may have the best vacation of your life. There is a reason Hedo has the highest guest return rate on the planet. Go and enjoy!
