Thread: covid cases

We've been using the remote proctored BinexNow tests for return to US for over a year (5 or 6 returns I think) including from Hedo twice. It's done over your phone or PC where they watch the test being done and results, then send you a pdf. Print it out and return home.

Heck, I've heard of people just using previous pdf and changing the date, the airlines really don't care.

It's kind of silly, I can fly 4 hours across the country, I could return to Canada or UK (if resident and vaxed), I can travel from the US to most countries without a test, but if I want to fly 2 hours from Jamaica to Miami I need to get a test... just stupid.

We got covid in Feb, likely from a trip, both tested positive once home (slight symptoms), I've had worse colds. Time to move on. If you are vaxed, healtly, then the pandemic is over, it's an endemic and will always be with us like the last novil coronavirus that hit in the late 1800s, it's now one of the cold virus's we all get.

We just got back from 2 weeks at Hedo and each Friday there were a bunch testing positive, both weeks there were people having to quarantine in there room because cootie corner was full. Strangely, several people that tested positive on Friday miraculously tested negative on Saturday.

Also, Min of Health was in last Friday to inspect and gave the resort permission to no longer require masks at the buffet.

There are probably even more that are positive as we non Americans don't need to test to get back home. In fact when the wife and I got home to Canada 2 weeks ago, we tested positive at home, and we know others that have also tested positive at home after a trip to H2. Some in our group also miraculously tested negative on a second test, but some still tested positive on the second and even third, try.

It’s morons like you who are the problem. Fortunately, Covid is thinning the herd.

We have had friends at hedo for that last week. they said the Covid block was packed. She tested positive on a Wednesday but tested neg on a Saturday, so they got to go home on Sunday. not sure the occupancy of the resort.

The count would have been higher owing to all the non Americans leaving Hedo and NOT testing.

If you must be quarantined at Hedo, best to be in cootie corner. At least there you can talk with other covidians and sit in the sunshine (and maybe ride the unicorn LOL).
Heard from a friend that two weeks after we left on May 2, the covid count for his group was 30 on the weekend (don't know if these are only Americans as some in our group were self testing).

I think the bottom line here is, if your going to Hedo in the near future, plan on catching covid.
Despite staying away from the nude pool, masking up at the buffet and at large gatherings, we still caught it.

Be smart people, and stay safe.

Why insult someone here because you simply don’t agree with their words? The person said they are vaccinated and healthy. It’s not so far over the top a statement for you to resort to name calling. Keep it kind.
