My 31st and the 2022 Annual Lovin' Life Group Trip Report
    February 25 - March 6, 2022

    Pre-Trip and Arrival

Important - check this site prior to arrival for current Jamaica entry requirements:
    https://www.visitjamaica.com/jamaica-cares/

    H2 CV Info: https://www.hedonism.com/covid-19-news/

Easy peezy pre-trip test at CVS and printed results. Along with the now not required travel auth. Another awesome group gal and I were on the same SW flight down to Jamaica on Friday and usually getting through BWI goes smoothly. This time around the check in line was ok (got there 2 hrs. early), then all I could think was wowsa when I saw the security line was longer than I had ever seen it. Found out that they had closed the 2 other checkpoints and were sending two people at a time down a set path so a dog could check behind each pair. It went fairly fast, but never had that happen before. I’m more used to a dog being present upon arrival back to the states. We both got through and the nice thing with SW seating and being single is there are usually single seats right up front and we both got our fav window seat.

We both had Club Mobay arrival because we were hauling group stuff and going through that customs line is betta when luggage is busting with naughty and nice goodies. Rose and the other SunHoliday shuttle service fren I mentally call string bean because he is so tall and slender greeted us with big smiles. The Club Mobay lounges were full when we got there (amazing for a Friday arrival). We were led out to the shuttle and once again we were on with peeps we knew and a super nice couple who were new to the group & resort. I really like taking the shuttle because of this – always someone going to H2 on it and if anyone isn’t they want to by the time we get there.

We got to the resort and were welcomed by familiar faces and then by pure luck the 3 single gals sharing a room were able to be put 2 doors down from me since they had given me the room with the extra window bed and there was a normal room just down the way. Then another single gal was put next door to them, so it soon became single gal row. I kinda felt for the 1 room in the middle because we were not quiet! LOL!

Important note – the new room wristband ‘keys’ are great, but don’t lose them. I was told on a previous trip that there was a $30 fee if lost/taken home, but that is now $75. Guessing too many opted to keep them as souvenirs so they had to boost it.

    Resort Experience

The resort staff are always amazing and really do become part of our framily. Kudos to everyone – both those we see every day and those behind the scenes.

Several peeps had what I call 1st-day-itis, aka get so pumped about being there that they drink more than any other time or are new so feel like they have to have quite a bit of liquid courage that 1st day. Watta is your friend! And, if you don’t drink water, then try juice mixed with club soda. Then again, someone else that day was ‘very healthy’ and pretty much all week from what I saw. 😉

Food was good. Lunch buffet could be changed up a bit more and I did hear that some items were out by the time people arriving later than 8:30pm for dinner got to them. Overall, there is definitely enough food and I still appreciate that they have real Jamaica items – Yum!

I didn’t realize until later in the week that the pasta bar and the buffet trays next to the evening meat carving station often had different selections. I missed the tacos that used to be on the far side of the lunch buffet (that had pizza every day this trip instead) because it was at what I call the pasta bar and I never stop there. So anyone going next – check every station.

They were supposed to have a noon-4pm power outage 2 days our week because the power company needed to repair/replace something, but luckily it was moved to a different week. Found out that even if that had happened, they have generators that will keep the wild side pool music going – good to know it is seen as an important activity. 😉 😃

Casino night in the courtyard was on Thursday and it was a big hit with peeps our week. They also had the foam party, but I think more peeps were up top than in it for once.

The courtyard was setup with a DJ a few nights and then moved to the disco. The weather in February is so nice that I liked it better up top where there was more air flow, but I follow the music so I go wherever it is hopping.

Our group had never directly overlapped with the topless travel groups before and I have to give a shout out to Marc and everyone from that agency. I prefer weeks where there are multiple groups in house that add different flavors. We worked really well together, neither of us find it necessary to push group info vs just adding to the mixture of fun and got along great as hosts for the week. He said castaways was a sister agency and I look forward to any future weeks where we may do so again.

Harry, CEO, and I have known each other for ~12 yrs now and have had an inside ‘Tomorrow’ joke that once again continued. It was a wonderful surprise that I finally got to meet his brother and sister-in-law this trip. Winston said he had someone for me to meet and I thought it might be a single peep who may want to join our group, instead it was Diane who I had been in contact with when I started this group. 😊

    Return Testing and Departure

Return testing arrangement is done via a computer next to the dining room/lobby entrance. Actual testing is done behind the piano bar from 9am - ~2pm (?) 1 day before your flight. You stay there for a couple minutes while the results are processed and they email them using the email address you entered when signing up.

The test result email is sent the morning after the test and you can have the front desk print a copy by telling them your room number. No timestamp is listed on the results sheet.

Another week of amazing memories (names excluded to protect the not-so-innocent)

The earliest bedtime this trip was ~2:30am and the 1st ‘night’ (after minimal sleep the night before) was 5:30am! Staff kicked us out of the pool! Smh I keep telling myself I need to get more sleep…years later still telling myself that!

2nd night, group peeps were in the pool late at night with some new to late night fun ones (our early morning start to party beach peeps) and once again we were laughing so hard for no reason what so ever and couldn’t breathe….snort! 😃 Someone even said, hope they don’t think we are on drugs like they thought that one year. Ha!

A few years ago an awesome Canadian couple gave me an inflatable pecker named ‘Gregory’ who lasted a couple trips before his time having fun in the sun came to a leaky end. This past year I finally found him again online and brought several of his brothers to have fun our week. Peeps faces when they saw me carrying them or riding around the pool were precious enough, but then the ha’penis’ spread and 2 loverly ladies found themselves with an extra pecker to take home with them. One lady carried hers around the resort and her smile was as big as he was. 😃 A couple even stopped me in the pool and said he reminded them of someone in our group! LOL! While others seemed to like summer sausages betta. 😉

My H2 shopping addiction has me buying new goodies each year and this time around I got ‘eggs’ for everyone. The guy’s version had many peeps asking what to do with it and another year’s comment about a bp came to mind for part of it. It got good reviews online, but I never believe those until I had different peeps saying it was good while there – go ahead and call it market research! LOL!

Best comment about H2 peeps and is SO true: “Everyone who comes to H2 ages backwards.” Cheers to being adult kids forever!

Have to give a shout out to our talented group peeps – they got mad skills! I totally didn’t know that we had amazing and new to the group singers, dancers and an awesome piano player. One ❤️

Heard some new and possible pick up lines this week: ‘Let’s talk in the playroom’ and ‘Taste my Love’. LOL!

Our pool party involved about 1000 hair scrunchies that I pre-stretched so they would do no harm. Who knew peeps would get so excited playing the game that they tripled them up! Smh Luckily no damage was done that couldn’t be massaged away and the colorful poolside line up was definitely something to see! 😃

Our framily vibe showed itself throughout the week legit! We had someone whose luggage was mistakenly taken by someone else (not at our resort) and she was given outfits to wear and whatever else we could until it finally got there. Single gal row was very active in helping each other get ready, sharing clothes, shoes and advice (we are truly closer than sista’s). A few accidental scrapes/falls and tummy bugs, had everyone sharing band-aids, medicine and true caring for peeps involved. And a special gal even brought her wedding dress from this past year so they could take pics with their good friends in the group who couldn’t be present stateside on the real day. ❤️

Just putting it out there… Towels can cover stuff left on chairs at night – if you need to bring anything at all. One night I saw a purse sitting out on my way back to the room and had to venture into the ‘hut’ to pass it on to its naughty owner. You ‘O’ people! Smh LOL!

Several of us stayed an extra night and it was a sunset like no other. A boat full of locals passed us on the point and for some reason started whooping it up and shouting ‘Go, Go, Go’ that was heard by our other peeps on the dock. 😉 😃

Our group is what I call a ‘home grown’ group because I am a volunteer host and we seem to naturally grow based on peeps in the group having a great time and our free to be fun vibe. This week I had someone ask why they should join our group and I told them that I don’t need to sell it at all (which is true). Someone came up to me towards the end of our week said they had been going several different weeks and finally found ‘our group’ with us and another say that this group was much more personal than others they had been with before. ‘Bottom’ line for me is Great peeps = a Great Group and why I continue to be Lovin’ Life! ❤️ our peeps!

I have more stories, but somehow they just can’t be translated for public posting…. Gotta go to know!

Trip pics (no peeps in them)

    Great report, thank you!
Thanks for the tip about the room “keys”. Don’t want to add any unnecessary expense, we usually take the cards home as we were told our information was on them.
