Hedo newbies 10/21-10/26

Hey all! We just booked a last minute trip in late October out to Hedo! We made our first trip to a clothing optional resort to desire riviera in March and loved it so going to the next level. We met some great people there. Only issue is we do like to get out of the resort a little when possible to see the area and it looks like we may be able to do that for a day or two while we are there. It looks pretty safe in the area as long as you don’t do dumb things but wanted any input so I don’t put us in a dumb situation haha. We were thinking of doing that one love bar crawl even (let us know if anyone else is interested since it gets good reviews!). Thanks!

The pub crawl is great, and I don't really consider it 'getting off property' that much. It only lasts a couple of hours and you don't go far. The locals you meet (if any) on the pub crawl are always friendly. We never feel at risk or threatened if those are your concerns. You don't even have to bring much money. I don't know what you like to drink, but I recommend Red Stripe beer on the pub crawl. The reason is that it is fast and easy for them to open a beer for you. Each bar will only have 1 or 2 people working and 'fast' isn't in their vocabulary. So when 30 or 40 people walk in at once, if you are not first in line you will be waiting a few minutes. The more people who order 'beer', the sooner everyone is served. ;-)

Yes. Usually the bus is arranged by a group host. But it will be at the resort. If there are more than one busload going then there will be two buses. They pack each bus to the max, so expect to be close to others. It is usually a quiet trip to the first bar, but a loud and rowdy trip by the time you head back. I think there are usually about five stops. Xtabi is usually a standard stop and you can walk down the steps and look at the caves. No Name Bar and Sky Bar are a couple of other good ones. If it is a late afternoon trip then you might watch the sunset at Firewater Love Next. It is literally on the cliff. ;-)

Agree with what mrcaj said and to add further, on the last PC we did, the bus waited outside the H2 grounds, paid by donations. Our group arranged the trip BUT, we had strangers join us in the lobby, and well, they are not strangers anymore. You can usually join another groups pub crawl if there is space. Clothing is required, but at least one patron wore only one item. The bus may be crowded, BUT, I highly recommend this excursion if you're new to Negril, unsure of the surroundings, or just want to get the lay of the land for your next solo outing. They drop you off at the resort so you can stagger back to your room.
