Required for Canadians , PCR test is done at Hedonism or Grand Lido Negril not more than 72 hours before you leave Jamaica. Book when you first arrive. Cost is around $140 per person. Allow over 48 hours to get your results back. Bring photo identification with you when you go for the test. Tests can be charged to your room. 3 things needed to get on plane to Jamaica from Canada 1) Official proof of being fully vaccinated (provincial QR code or hopefully by the time of our Dec 2 trip, a Federal proof of vaccination QR code 2) the Jamaican Travel Authorisation ( apply 3? days prior to trip) and 3) negative results of PCR test obtained within 72 hours before departure. Also within 72 hours of trip Google ' Help for ArriveCAN " to upload proof of vaccination. Must have a paper receipt from ArriveCAN or proof on ArriveCan app.

No, thankfully. The 14 days are free at Hedonism , should a Canadian have a positive Covid PCR test and are required to wait 14 days in quarantine before being allowed on a flight back to Canada . However if a person is staying at Grand Lido Negril au Natural ( across the street from Hedo) they need to make arrangements through the resort's insurance company by filling out an online form www.bluediamondsresorts.com/medical-assistance
    PRIOR to their stay.

We were there 10/9-10/16 and felt very safe. Everyone who gets on the airplane has to have tested negative within 3 days of boarding. Since one cannot drive to Jamaica, that means all guests have tested negative within the last 3 days. All staff wore masks and there is some kind of vaccination/test policy for the workers. There were no stories going around about anyone testing positive for the return trip or anyone being quarantined at that time. Guests were not wearing masks at that time and we have been home (in the US) for almost a month with no problem.

    Good news indeed.
But comments persist of people getting home then discovering they were infected. Good that you made it home in good health. Now I want to go even more...
You do realize that your comments have inflamed my DIF even more now!!!
Life is too short for drama and petty things, so kiss slowly,
