First time young 30's couple here. We're booked for April 22-29. We would have booked with a group but nothing was available with such late notice. Kind of nervous since were going in without a group and very little knowledge on what to expect other then reading the trip reports on here. Were looking forward to meeting some cool people so feel free to message me!

Airport shuttles? Private Taxi, plane, or bus.

Bring lots of sun screen, and use it, EVERYWHERE.
Drink lots and lots, of water. Go easy on alcohol on day one.
Use water shoes if going in the water at the beach (sea urchins).
Eating areas and lobby require attire. But that being said, as skimpy as you can imagine, is acceptable, and preferred.
There are numerous lists on here and Dennyp with the essential things you should bring. But don't over stress it.
On our first trip we left so much out, but people at H2 had all the right stuff and were SOOOO friendly, like lotion for sunburns for one.

You will have fun, and you don't need to be in a group. You can socialize with everybody.
What you'll lose not being in a group is things like group only events (cat cruise for a specific group for example, but cat cruises are available for everyone else at the resort too). Also will miss out on swag.

That week is a busy week with at least 4 groups in house. Your advantage will be that you'll be able to sample these 4 groups and decide if one is right for you for your future visit, and you will have a future visit.
DIF is a powerful affliction.
