It was probably simply that the original poster was in the United States and that is how we usually think of locations, "what state are you from?" is a common question when meeting people here.

Illinois - Have to agree with S&T about TN. Given the population of TN, there seems to be a disproportionate number of Hedoites there that post on this forum. Maybe its time for a visit. lol.

We don't have a State, we have Counties. We are from the County of Cheshire, which is in the North of England. We don't have posh English accents and we rarely see the sun shine, but we have a fantastic green countryside outside our window and that makes up for it.
