Good Question. Was wondering the same thing, especially with all the body contact and body fluid exchanges.
Life is too short for drama and petty things, so kiss slowly,
laugh insanely, fuck like you're the star of a porn film, and forgive quickly.

We're going next week... so I hope everything is "normal" for Hedo.

I wonder how it will be for perception of illness... I know that on every trip I've been on, there are several people who are sick including myself (hungover, sore throat and coughing, sun stroke, the actual flu or cold, etc.) with symptoms that are common for Corona. I wonder if there will be an increased focus to isolate those people with ANY symptoms?

We'll be taking extra precautions this year with wipes and lysol that we haven't in the past... not because we believe we'll get Corona, but because we don't want to get the normal Hedo sicknesses which could isolate us from the fun.

I would expect that travel to Jamaica from the US will be shut down soon. We’re assuming that our planned June visit will not be happening. We’re in for a rocky few months.

We are booked for 3/28 to 4/6 but 2 weeks away is a long time when things are changing by the minute. Agree with HarborMaster that Jamaica may add the US to the list of countries that can't come.

I'm thinking by June we'll be on a new crisis

We are booked same time, but just postponed. Two reasons - the stress of it all in a rapidly changing environment, and there may not be too many friends around, in any case.

Oh wow, the Young Swingers was a really big group going. That stinks, the place is going to be empty. We are 95% sure we are cancelling until all this blows over. We would not want to have a chance to be quarantined by the Jamaican authorities in a public center if we should go and get sick down there.

Yeah, sucks but any sort of quarantine or detainment would not be worth the trip. The people saying "oh yeah another two weeks at Hedo!" crack me up. It would be two weeks in some sort of makeshift shelter in a Montego Bay airplane hangar. Not my idea of a good time. Hopefully we get our spot secured for next year.

We are booked for the first week of June. Hoping this crisis will be past by then. If not, we booked with Hedo's "cancel for any reason" waiver so I think we'll be able to reschedule.
May lose our airfare, though, which is already booked.

Considering the whole point of Hedo - crowds, close, intimate contact - is exactly what spreads this virus, I'd expect it to be a ghost town very soon. That, and the very real chance of getting quarantined in country or upon return is not something I'm willing to risk. The idea of getting the virus is not that scary to me (I'm relatively young and healthy), but common sense dictates that you take precautions. Hedo is the LAST place I'd be going during this mess.

If they're cancelling cruises, I'd expect a total shutdown of Hedo soon.

Agree with everything you wrote and add the fact that everyone is cancelling left and right so the resort will be empty and not have the party vibe we are going for.
Unfortunately we are calling Denny P today and cancelling our trip starting on 3-28. Very sad, it was going to be our first trip to Hedo 2. Hope things calm down and we can go in the fall this year.

We called Hedo and they said they are rolling over all reservations for a full year , if you postpone by providing a credit voucher. We just did that. Same with the airlines. Cost of rolling over at Hedo is 25 $ per person. If you went through a TA, they they may charge something over it.

Hmmm, great idea rolling it forward. Everyone gets their spot, Hedo doesn't take a hit - we would hate to cause the place undo pain.
