How long have you or could you stay at Hedo

During our January trip I talk to a guy who said he is staying at Hedo for 4 months. I made me think could we stay stay there that long. Would we get bored?

How long have you stayed at Hedo and what is the longest time that you could stay there?

I've done 13.5 days and I was ready to go home after that because the scenery, food, routines, ambiance never really changed and once my close friends in my Krewe de Krazy Life group left I did enjoy my "me" time but I got "Ann-sy" to get back to family and friends. Besides, I can't do back-to-back-to-back eating, drinking, partying, sex, etc as much anymore without repercussions,

I've been doing 11-12 days since then and that is perfect. I arrive the day before my group gets there and stay 3 nights after (arrive Friday and leave on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning (flights are better too).

We did 17 days twice in the same year, May and November 2011 and we wouldn't have minded staying even longer. We tried doing just a week in 2018 and won't do that again, way too short, 2 weeks this time in May, the 3rd through the 17th and I guarantee they will drag us out of there kicking and screaming.

We max'd out at 17 days. Took advantage of the 14/3 package since it started. But to be honest, even being part of TWO sequential groups, toward the end we felt it was time to go. Each week is pretty much the same as far as the resort goes. Same entertainment, same food, same room, etc. Then as the Travel Slut said, when your friends have all left there is a "now what do we do time" and you start looking forward to your real home routine. Sure we could party with the next group, but in reality we are all fucked out.

We have always stayed for 10-12 days. Over the past two years, we upped our stay to 14 days or two weeks, which is about right for us. We spend one week in the party with our friends and groups, and spend the second week relaxing and enjoying each other, sleeping in, etc. Perfect for us

He's retired, I believe that he posted regular trip reports on here or maybe at Denny's.

I won 3 days once and stayed for 10 days arriving the Wednesday before my groups arrival on Sat. It was perfect. Now I go for 8 days arriving on Friday ahead of the group. I once stayed over on a Saturday night for a Sunday departure and when everyone of my friends left the place was empty. I ate in my room and watched TV on that Saturday night.

We did 21 days in Dec and even though we really paced ourselves and enjoyed most aspects of the entire trip....hate to admit it but can't see doing more than 14 days at a time in future. I felt like I was getting a little too comfortable and no longer fully appreciating the experience fully by week 3.

We started doing 10 days / 9 nights and it's perfect for us. Arrive on Friday, leave the following Sunday. You get 8 full non travel days to enjoy and relax. When it's time to leave we're still sad to leave but we're happy to get home too.

This was us. 17 days was a bit much. By about day 10 or 11 we stayed inside our room for the entire day to decompress and escape from our escape.

Now when we book we look for 10-11 days. one week is too short since it is a full day of travel for us to get to the resort.

Is he the guy who has his own room in the 1st buildings off the nude side near the pool? Harry built him a new deck 3 years ago or so maybe? If that's him, nice guy. Think he might be in a wheelchair.

I've been going to hedo the last 12...I like to break the trip up into weeks and go 3-4 times a year. I live in North Florida, so the flights are relatively easy travel days for me. I've met a large number of people from Europe and Canada that stay a minimum of two weeks, and it seems to work for them.

Charlie is a great guy! I've known him for years. I believe the key to his 4 month residency is that he doesn't party hard every day like the rest of us do LOL...He reads, smokes his cigars, enjoys his libations and is very very chill...one of the best people I know.

I agree with everyone 10 days seems to be the sweet spot. For our next trip in Jan we will get arrive on Friday and leave the following Sunday. I think doing actives like scuba diving and one off resort trip will break it up the trip. For me it's the food that starts to become boring. You can only eat so much rice and chicken before you start to crave something different. Is it January yet.
