12 nights/$700 for singles

Does anyone know how the 12 nights/$700 deal works for singles? If I booked 7 nights in May as a single and then 5 more nights in November or December as a single, do I get the $700 voucher or is it less because it isn't double occupancy?

Yes. I was very persistent in getting response from them on this since I have quite a few singles in my group (24 so far for 2020). Singles do qualify for the full $700 for 12 nights paid for voucher. If you do not share a room you get the full voucher amount.

If you do share a room with another single, then it is give to the room and basically the 'lead' booking aka the 1st person who books. If both qualify within a year, they have to decide how to split or use it unless the 'lead' just wants to take it (which isn't cool). If only one qualifies within the year and the other person is the one who got it, then he/she needs to send an email confirming that they are ok with the 2nd person using it.

I had 3 gals who shared rooms and qualified this year and they worked it out with Castaways so they split the room $ when they went back in August (as a threesome room) minus the voucher amounts.

If you pay for 12 nights during a single trip, get the voucher from the front office. Otherwise you can have your travel agency request the amount on a future (same year) booking.

If you want to use it while on site - charge the related resort-based expenses to your room and then you use the voucher at the end to pay for them.

Sounds about what my TA described this past April while at Hedo. I’ve done the math, and it’s a boost to singles who pay for the room with the single supplement vs the previous 14/3 program...as long as it’s during the “off-season” rates. It was only single digits better, but that slight amount is better than nothing.

I went 9 nights with my husband in April, then went solo 7 nights in September. I asked for the $700 pre-trip, and my travel agent also asked on my behalf, and I was turned down. However, I asked again, politely!!!, in person while there and DID get the $700 applied to my September trip (they applied a refund to my credit card). In order to get it, my husband had to write a letter to them saying it was alright with him for me to have the credit.
