Hotel to stay the night before check-in to Hedo

We are going back to Hedo this fall and to get better flight times, we are actually arriving in Jamaica the day before our check-in to Hedo. I've read on this forum that Hedo won't allow us to check in before about noon on our arrival day and that's ok with us. We're debating on where to stay the night of our arrival to Jamaica; either near the airport or in Negril closer to Hedo. Does anyone have any suggestions, preferences or thoughts?

We like Half Moon Beach bear Green Island to bookend our H2 stay.

I stayed at the Coco La Palm on 7 mile beach about 10 minutes from Hedo this past June. It was walking distance to Margaritville and a $10 cab ride to Hedo.

On-site restaurant, great room and rates and service and nice beach.

Thanks for the info. Does Coco La Palm have a/c in the rooms?

Another vote for Travelers Beach, nice place, about $90 per night.

Also note- we have gotten to Hedo well before noon on multiple occasions. The room is not ready, but you can leave your bags and start vacationing, come back mid-afternoon for your room assignment and bags.

We have stayed at Coco La Palm as well. It's in a great spot on the beach. We will be at Nirvana this year in January.

Who operates the local cab in Negril?

We stayed at Boardwalk Village for one night this past May. Very nice place to stay. Nice little bungalow type rooms right on the beach. AC was good. Very short cab ride to Hedo (like $5 US). They have a bar/restaurant right on the beach, which is a little pricey, but good to have. We'd stay there again.
We stayed at CocoLaPalm last year and it was also a good place to stay for one night.

    Either place is respectable.

I have always used Rocky's Taxi Service for airport transfers and special off-property excursions but in this case for a morning transport of 10 minutes from Coco la Palm I had the manager of Coco La Palm call a cab for me and advised it would be about $10. I confirmed that with the can driver before I got into the cab and then tipped him $2 extra.

Perfect and thank you! We always use Rocky's as well and already have our reservation lined up with them for the airport transfer.
