Question Are Non-Group Guests Allowed to Participate?

Hello gang! We've got our first trip to Hedo planned for early May 2020 and we now realize there's a Sexy Silver group overlapping with us. We're in our mid-forties and have had some of our hottest LS moments with couples a good bit older, so that doesn't faze us at all.

One thing we are curious about though: the pool parties and themed playroom parties. Are these open to all guests? I would assume that the group isn't allowed to rope off the pool for group-travel members only, but what about the playroom?

Can some of you wily veterans shed some light on what the reality is for group travelers and solo/independent couples? I'd hate to have our fun time limited because we're not with a group.

From the 6 times we have been and a host, most groups are welcoming of non members. The pool is a place for everyone to party and enjoy themselves, the playroom is for the entire resort to enjoy. Groups might reserve other parts of the resort for group events and each group is different as far as inviting outsiders that didn't book through them. I know the group we host Cocktails International, is very inviting to having others join in the fun activities, like necklace making, pool games and other group events. If we have events that prizes are awards or gift exchanges, those are reserved for booking members. I think you will find that the groups are very opening and will ensure you have a great time.

20 something visits on, some with groups some alone. Most (but not all) groups are VERY open and welcoming. A few groups are very inward looking. I don't think that will be the case during your visit. As soon as you indicate a willingness to be friendly, you'll be invited to 'belong'. You could (if you wanted) contact the group ahead of the visit and ask if you can be a part of the 'action'.

Some groups have their party room parties in a different location from the spa area. In which case you'll probably not be included. But the regular party room will still be available -- as will all the rest of the campus. Never a problem. And you'll almost certainly not be the only solo couple that week.

One of the problems with Hedo is that the night life can be spread out and a little unpredictable as to where the party is. Groups will have a night event or two which are usually dedicated solely to their group, sometimes a catamaran cruise or pubcrawl as well. The problem isn't so much that these events deny you access to a portion of the resort, but more that a good portion of the guests go to these (usually the outgoing party people of those groups) and other parts of the resort feel empty or slow because those people aren't there.

When this happens during the day, we've always found that some of the other more quiet people come out of the woodwork and we've met new people... so all good. But at night, looking for where all the people are is less fun and can put a damper on your evening.

Thanks for all the helpful responses. Really appreciate you all confirming what I hoped was the case.

And yes, I think we will reach out to the group organizers ahead of time. They're a 45+ group, but we'll be 44 before May. Close enough, right?
