    First time advice please

    Hi all newbie couple here.
We were in Jamaica last week and while there got chatting to a couple who were
Spending one night at our resort before heading to hedo for a week. They invited us to join them on a day pass which we did with some trepidation. We both thoroughly enjoyed the experience and even joined in the nude pool. We are based in the uk and are after some advice as to the best company to book both hedo and flights together, we initially wanted to stay at Azul sensatori for 3 days then hedo for a week but this is becoming hard to sort out and quiet expensive. What do other Brits do?. Is a week enough bearing in mind you lose two days travelling or should we go for 10 days. Any help would be appreciated, many thanks in advance and sorry for the long post.

While not a Brit, I can tell you that many Americans plan an extra day on the front end at a minimum just to handle the travel time adjustment needed from most USA flight cities.

Losing almost a full day/night at Hedo hurts and for those traveling thru 5-7 time zones like yourself it pays to book at least an extra night or two at Hedo. Presuming you fly and arrive on a Saturday, booking 8-9 nights means that you will at least get a full weekend experience (usually when the resort is full or nearly full) before returning home.

Besides, I have never met anyone that wishes they would have booked FEWER nights at Hedo.

Regardless of where you're traveling from, there are two general options for booking... booking a vacation package, or booking flights and resort separately. I'm Canadian and have to look at both options every time we've gone... and it has changed year to year as to which is cheaper... this year being $1000 less expensive to book a vacation package through an airline.

You should be able to google hedonism holiday packages and find some pricing that way. When trying to price out flights and resort separately, reach out to a couple groups to get pricing from them (make sure you let them know you're from UK as this could effect pricing). Getting pricing from the resort directly is nearly always the highest price.

I have a vague memory of someone from Europe booking through an American travel agent and getting US pricing (preferred pricing). When they got to the resort and showed their passport during the checkin process, they had issues. I can't confirm this... just something I remember reading or hearing. Just be aware of it.

Hello latexcouple. Hope you are well.
We have visited Jamaica perhaps 20 times now, visiting several resorts, including both H2, and 3 when it was open.
We have found H2 to be by far the most fun, and actually quite relaxing location.
Obviously, Jamaica is quite a flight, so we prefer at least 10 days there, although sometimes spend a week in the States first, followed by a week at H2. If you choose to visit the US first, Miami is just a short flight onwards to Jamaica, and New York is also just 4 hours away, so it's nice to visits some place in America and then followed by a week or so at H2.
TUI fly directly from numerous U.K. Airports to Mobay directly, or Virgin have regular flights from Gatwick.
If you decide to go to the US first, Delta do some decent round trip packaged deals on the flights.
As for H 2 we shop around for the best deals but have recently found that Kenwood travel are very competitive if you ring them and ask for a quote. We have found booking the flights separately from the accommodations has been better.
We have found (probably due to Brexit Hmmm) that it's quite expensive at present as the £ has lost an awful lot of value versus the $$ so you'll just have to swallow that one at the moment
    All the best mate
    X

Well Shy, this issue is active again. We booked H2 on a "Canadian only" deal, great price, BUT the invoice specifically says we must show our passports at checkin to get this rate or we could be charged the rack rate. The rate makes up for (partially) the poor exchange rate of the Canadian Peso.

    thanks for your reply.
We have looked at kenwood travel they do seem to be the easiest way to go.
We have been looking for flights with tui, the cost is around £150 cheaper booking separately as opposed to booking the package with Kenwood.
Its amazing how addictive hedo is after just one day pass.

Glad to see the hedo bug bit you! It is truly an amazing place and every year we bump into day passers who can't believe how quiet their resort is compared to hedo. They usually end up wishing they had booked hedo from the start.

back when hedo was run by superclubs, we saw a lot of couples visit hedo from breezes, and then transfer from breezes to hedo for the rest of their stay~ kitten

Two single girls checking into Breezes Runaway Bay were almost always told the resort was overbooked and they had to go to Hedo instead.
