    Question Air Jamaica?

Anyone have any experience with this airline? They have a non-stop from LAX to MBJ that gets us in at 6:25 in the am. That would be so nice. But I don't know anything about them. I have this mental picture of 2 pilots with dreadlocks passing a bong between them while flying us to jamaica. Now if they shared that would be a different story. :-)

    Thumbs down

Hated flying Air Jamacia. Lots of natives some getting air sick others scared to board a plane. Lots of noise. Very little help from staff.

Sure it may be cheaper but I'll never fly air jamacia again. Worst flying experience ever.

Wow we flew AJ this past April on our first Hedo trip, from Philly, no problems, nice flight, helpful staff. And they are the only ones that fly non stop from Philly to Jamaica when we reserved.

    From BWI

We flew A.J. last Dec from Baltimore/Washington Int. (BWI) and had no
problems - sort of. We had originally planned our trip for March, but had a
family emergency that caused us to have to cancel in March. We were
still about 40 days out from flying when it came up. Superclubs refunded
our money for the resort, but A.J. would only let us delay the flight up to
a year from the purchase date and then put a reservation change fee ($150)
on the transaction. That was why we were 'forced' to reschedule before the
end of Dec. It was that or lose the entire amount of the airfare.

In the end, for us, it only forced us to do what we wanted to do anyway,
so it was no big deal. I've never had that kind of situation before, but I've
been told that most airlines have similar practices, so I don't know.

Once we got on the flight it wasn't much different from any other economy
flight I've ever taken. I don't know what 1st class is like, but its a big metal
tube breaking the laws of gravity flying fast from point A to point B. Since
all I cared about was how fast I could get to point B and it was the only
airline flying non-stop from BWI to MBJ and it was only a couple hours, it
was fine in my book. Contrary to the Zen Masters, its not about journey, its
about the destination...if the destination is a nude beach and a rum punch.

We just booked our second visit to HedoII and went with them again, so I
    guess that's my endorsement...if that's worth anything...

We flew with Air Jamaica about three years ago, the flight out of the UK was alright but the flight back from Montego Bay was a nightmare, to start with our party of four was seated right at the back of the plane and split by the toilet bulkhead, we had a prisoner handcuffed to his guard obviously going back to the UK, the in flight entertainment went off about an hour into the journey and was never re-instated then to top it all the food ran out, but the most frightening bit was the view we had of all the air stewards/stewardess asleep at the back of the plane, all we can say is never, never again!!!

We have flown AJ twice out of Philly and no problems. They were able to get us in the earliest and leave the latest. Weren't the cheapest but the champagne on the flight down was a nice touch.

We have flown Air Jamaica several times out of Philly and found the flights to be pretty good. There seems to be some grief with just about all of the airlines these days -

Air Jamaica out of Philly is the only one that has non stop flights when we booked our trip to H3 in April, and H2 this September.
Didnt have any problems in April, hope it goes the same next month.

Air Jamaica are having some financial problems. They have sold thier flight paths from the UK to Virgin Airways as of November.

I would advise caution booking too far in advance with JA in case they sell your flights on to another carrier too.

This may not be a problem for you as your tickets are still valid, but we had to change airlines because flying with Virgin meant changing to a different airport and different day.
Next trip - Hedo II Feb 2022,

US Air has direct flights from Philly as well

Cop we were there in April too and we fly nonstop direct from Philly on US Air. They too have direct flights, just not as convenient times like AJ. I wish we could get in at 10am or something like that, but US Air doesn't have flights that early.

That flight out of LAX is the ONLY way to go to hedo... You get in early so breeze through customs, Very little traffic on the ride in so make good time, get to the resort, grab a cocktail and find a shady spot to take a nap while you are waiting for your room.

The one year we couldn't get that flight it was horrible.

AJ out of LAX is the BEST!!
Safe Sane Consensual Week is BACK at Hedo2 for a taste of Kink!
