Is the beach on Hedo full of seaweed like at Pear? Planning to go on 09/08/18

Full, no. But there are patches of sea weed, but generally there are larger patches of sand. Last April we saw resort staff raking up the sea weed, and also hunting for sea urchins.

Just be sure to bring water shoes to be safe in case of sea urchins!

Very little wave action at Negril. Very small changes in the tide. So there is nothing like the accumulation of weeds and sea grass as some places (ditto garbage). The beach staff are busy all morning collecting and burying that variety of 'weed'. So not a noticeable problem. You might (depending on the day) find small patches of drifting sea grass in the water. You might find small fish, even the occasional ray. Many guests find a pair of water slippers useful for avoiding anything 'nasty' in the water. Most are OK without. Slippers available at the store, or Walmart @ $10.

Now, as to the other 'weed'. Yes it's to be found on the beach. The local salesmen will visit you on a regular basis.
