    Video Camera

I have thought about taking my husband to Hedo for a few years now and I was just wondering if it would be ok to bring a video camera and make a porno on the beach or in the wilderness with other people watching? Of course I think we would have to find someone willing to video but other than that would the majority of people and staff be ok with this?

I'm sure that major porn companies have produced films at Hedonism, in fact I'm pretty sure that the Shane's World (porn that is popular with my female friends) folks did a video there. I don't know Jamaican law but you may need a property release even if you aren't using the footage for anything commercial.

Also a lot of people go to Hedonism "in secret" so even if you give them a thousand promises that the video is for your private collection only they still may not be up for being in the video.

I would contact Hedonism first, I'm sure they've gotten this question before.

    What wilderness?

I'm sure you could find someone to run the camera but if they don't have video camera experience the footage may end up too Blair Witch Project to tolerate. Have a tripod with you just in case.

what about bringing a video camera to video activities that take place in our hotel room? - with consent of all participants of course - i cant see how that would/could be a problem.

videoing around the pool etc.... yes i could see how that would be a problem - but in the privacy of your own room? i would doubt it.

In your room would be no problem, in fact I have taken videos in our room. In the public areas it would be harder. We have taken pictures in the nude area, away from the pool off by ourselves and that was okay. I know a lot of people get nervous when they see a camera around the nude pool area and I'm sure a video camera would make them more so.

As far as making a movie outside goes I'd say you would have to be very careful about the location, anything near the other guests would be nearly impossible. There is no wilderness to speak of but there are some look out of the way places that may work if you do it right. Of course a gathering of people in an unusual place will attract security and that will be an issue.

No, your room would not be a problem.

When you consider how many pocket cameras and cell phones have video capability and you consider that Hedo probably has a slightly more affluent than normal crowd, I would imagine that there is video footage (probably barely watchable but footage none the less) from every third room booked at Hedonism.

Also consider the much commercial amateur porn is shot in hotel/motel rooms and those folks aren't getting property releases. In order to sue the hotel/motel would have to prove EXACTLY which room it was. Hard to do when you have dozens or hundreds of identical rooms.

A suggestion for outdoors would be to do it at a time of day when few people
are around - like before breakfast. My wife and I took a couple of pictures for
our scrapbook at various times during the days we were there, always careful
to make sure that no one was in the background. When I wanted to get the
special pictures of my wife for my private 'No Swimsuit Calendar' we got up
early and went all over the grounds (at HedoII). During that hour and a half I
for over 400 pictures to pick and choose from. (My wife never wanted to see
    my camera after that 'session'.)

Another thing, if you're going to go to the trouble to have someone do the
camera work, and you want other people 'watching', you should get someone
to agree to be 'security' for the production. Their 'job' would be to watch
everything except 'the action' and make sure the crowd doesn't get in the
way of the of the camera and that if anyone wanders up unawares they are
warned before its too late that they might be filmed. You could give this
person big sign that warns people that if they stay and watch they might
    end up getting filmed.

And if you're going to go to this trouble, you might want to get two people with
two cameras so you can do some 'multi-angle' editing.

Perhaps on the negative side, I think you should expect that if you go this far
and you have someone filming you for your own entertainment and you have
other people watching 'to give the film atmosphere and character', some of
the 'extras' might decide to take some pictures of what you're doing - for their
own scrapbook. Of course, since I don't know you, this may not be a negative
for you if that's a part of your special thing...

Of course, if you go this far you might want to let the resort staff know what
you're planning otherwise they might get upset and eject you from the resort.
Google "gorilla filmmaking" and once you get past all of the articles about 'King
Kong' you might find some other ideas.
