    TimAir or AirLink Express?

OK...so we are heading to Jamaica again in December. We've taken TimAir from MoBay to Negril once and really liked the faster trip down. I know there's another air service called Airlink Express. I looked at their website and they have actual fares posted vs emailing TimAir for an initial quote. Other than price, can anyone tell me if either one is an advantage over the other to getting to Negril quicker than the road transfer? Thanks in advance!

We have done both, several times. We really can't tell any difference between the two, typically Airlink is a little cheaper

you need to check your arrival time at mbj, then give yourself 30 to 45 min to get thru immigrations, 30 minutes to do the walk to the small planes and security check, and load on plane. with all that said its a hit or miss to make a scheduled flight with airlink. We have gotten off the big plane, did the check in and was off to hedo right away, but the last two trips, we missed the scheduled flight and had to wait for plane to get back from negril and then load ( wait time 1 hour) and folks that took a taxi or bus arrived about the same time we did. So it's really has to be the perfect schedule if you want to beat the clock. We will most likely take a taxi this upcoming trip and fly back on return trip.

We have had only great experiences with Tim Air. Their goal is to get you out of Montego Bay as soon as possible to get you to the fun in Negril. They hold your hand the whole way. They watch your flights coming and going to make sure you get the most pleasurable time in Jamaica. They have even called Hedo to contact us while we were there to let us know our flight back home to the U.S. Was departing earlier.
As far as I know Airlink tries to schedule multiple people to keep the cost down but that does not get you there faster. Better off using a driver in that situation.

No difference in our book, although we find TimAir to be about $40/per couple cheaper for a round trip. (Little known fact: they share pilots when they get in a pinch.) Although... Last time we flew TimAir, they had a damn aftermarket fuel guage on the puddle jumper.
