    question about pool chairs

Do you need to set up early and go reserve pool chairs? Are they first come first serve, or what?

Depends on where you want to sit a lot of people get up early and put towels on the chairs they want to use for the day but sometime people leave and free the chairs up

The seats around the nude pool and hot tub go quick. But they have a place near the hot tub you can put your belongings and towel while you are in the water.

We usually find most of the chairs occupied by towels by the time we turn up, where they stay for the rest of the day without any humans on them.

So either people are getting up early to reserve chairs or they're just sending their towels on vacation to save money on the airfare.

We have always gone during maxed out occupancy weeks in March and have never had one issue getting a chair on the beach. We never really cared about a chair at the nude pool but those chairs are gone early and like others have mentioned those chairs are not always occupied. Sometimes it is just people being selfish but I also see people that go in and out of the pool all day to catch some sun in the chair and then back in the pool to socialize.

We could not agree more. The beauty of Hedo it is a place that breaks all the traditions of a “normal” holiday. This is one I wish would go away! Most of the time the chairs never see a human on them. In a place that we typically share spouses, can’t we share poolside chairs?

Sad to hear that lounge chairs are an issue at Hedo too.
Every visit we had to Temptations in Cancun, we had the same problem. Starting about 6am...T-shirts and Towels claimed lounge chairs and seemed to go unused all day. Even after Temptation renovated and added a lot more lounge chairs, the vacation ghosts still continue to claim all the chairs.

One of our top hopes in giving Hedo a try, was avoiding this ghost claiming of chairs and being able to enjoy the pool side fun. I love to lay out and actually use the lounge chairs. Oh well, I guess we will just wing it and hope for the best.
So, if I’m lucky enough to get a chair and you can’t find one, feel free to share with me!

I can honestly say that I have moved towels, clothing from one chair to the next to free up a chair. I have never had the "owner" of the items show up during the time I was using the chair. But I would be happy to get up when they return!

I don't think mAny people pay attention to empty chairs with towels. My wife has serviced me and a few others on the empty chairs. I guess it's better than floaters in the pool.

Poolside is where the fun is. Wife usually likes to sleep in but I get up a little earlier. On our last visit that’s what we had to do. Go to the poolside in the morning and sort of reserve our chairs by putting our towels on them . But we use em for most of the days and if we go for lunch or long break then we take our towels off and didn’t had much trouble finding another chair when we came back but that was in December when it was only 50% full. We’re going in March this time so it’ll probably be busier this time

At desire RM they have a pool chair guy his job is to assign a chair or cabana bed whatever you prefer and then he records where your sitting. It seems to work good better than any vanilla resorts we have visited anyway. It does fill up but in the morning but not until after breakfast.
