    Cool off resort activities

So we've got 44 days till we get to hedo. Mar 24-30.

On our first trip to hedo III, we checked out Dunns Falls, went on a river rafting trip, an atv tour and a zipline ride. We had all these activities booked before we got there because we didn't knew how much fun Hedo was going to be. On our next trip to hero II, we didn't go anywhere except for a walk to a close by craft market. Hanging around nude beach and nude pool was so much fun. But this time, we really want to go to at least a few place off resort so at least we can take a few pics to show our family. Everyone in our family keep asking why do we keep going back to Jamaica. They don't know about hedo.

Now just wondering what you guys think are worthwhile attractions to go off resort for ? Rick's cafe is one. I think there's a water park close by. Anyone
checked that out recently ? Any other recommendations ? obviously it all depends on the situation in Jamaica, if there's a state of emergency.:

Here is a list of the more popular activities: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Travel-g...tractions.html I am not a fan of Rick's at all, when once and reflected that it was one time too many. Just up the road is the superior LTU pub; same sunset, better food, cheaper drinks. Other Favs: YS Falls, Black River Safari, Calico Jack's Pirate Shack, Ivan's for elegant off-site dinner in the Cliffs.

I'd recommend getting a small group of friends together and making the trek to 3 Dives.

Don't bother making an effort to visit the Markets Full of cheap Chinese knock offs And pushy Jamicans stall holders in your face trying to convince you they make what they are selling

We went to the market near the roundabout in the centre of Negril...once! We were accosted relentlessly by vendors largely selling the same stuff...we felt like running away. In fairness, there were a few artisans there who made their own crafts and were relatively laid back.

The One Love Bus Bar Crawl is always fun. He'll pick you up at Hedo mid-afternoon and take you to approx. 6 or 7 bars that are fun, but not tourist traps like Ricks. No up front cost, just tip the drive at the end and no minimum number of drinks required. Most places Red Stripe is $3 or $4 and Rum Punch is no more than $5. A great way to see Negril. The last bar will be one on the cliffs to get a great view of the sunset. Hedo groups often book this and poor Lenbert has seen and heard all sorts of stuff while driving us around. LOL

Ricks is kind of a must see, once. Expensive drinks. Crowded. Fun watching the jumpers though.

We rarely venture off the resort.... sand gravity kicks in quickly. It also might be the Absolut and Ting?

We took the booze cruise from the resort to ricks. We watched the jumpers from the catamaran. The drinks were included and we swam in the ocean around the boat. And we didnt need to have clothes on It was 60$ each for the cruise. Thursday's at 3:00-6:00 pm. It was so much fun with the people from the resort. People love to see the hedo catamaran.

Someone already mentioned it but sunset dinner at Ivan's (Catch a Falling Star) restaurant is a great off site thing to do. It is also a great opportunity to take some pictures with the sunset behind you. We got there an hour or so before sunset and wandered around Ivan's to take pictures. Just google Ivans sunset pics and you will get the idea. Also if you want a quick 3,4 hour getaway go to Bloody Bay for a lobster lunch. Just google Office of Nature Bloody Bay Jamaica. It is basically a round hut/bar on the beach and they literally go pull the lobsters out of the ocean and make you lunch. If you dont want to hang out at the bar for a bit you can also walk the beach where there, like at Sandals, there are a lot of vendors selling stuff. Also a good place to take cover pics for hedo. To get to Bloody Bay you can pay the boat guy who is always by the scuba shack to take you. Probably a 15 minute boat trip. Or you can arrange a cab at the front desk and it is a 5 minute cab ride from Hedo. Hope that helps!
