    Cosmos restaurant in Negril

We used to walk from Hedo to the Cosmos Jamaican restaurant every year.
This past summer we were told Cosmos had just closed.
Anyone have info about this? Did they reopen? Or are they still closed?
Has anyone else bought the property?

Cosmos is permanently closed as he retired. I heard the Steward family bought the property but not sure what they'll do with it. A rumor is it will be used to expand Beaches resort.

Such a shame as the food was so delicious! Anyone have a suggestion for other Jamaican restaurants near Hedo? We loved being able to walk along the beach, taking vanilla pics for the relatives, checking out the other resorts and doing a little souvenir shopping. Then we made it to Cosmos in about an hour where we enjoyed a delicious lunch and then walked back to Hedo. Really going to miss Cosmos.

The best jerk chicken in Negril is across the street from Coco LaPalm. Best in the West Chicken. Totally authentic and very good and fun place to be. A yearly trek for me.

We usually venture to Best In The West a few times each trip as well. The chicken is great, and my wife likes the lobster.

Yes, Red from Best In The West is now at Vinne’s Bar and Grill. Just up the road a little bit.
