We'll be at Hedo in Nov. The wife bought up a good point about what kind of sunscreen to use for your "regions" that do not get as much sun. She shaves so we can curious if any type of sunscreen will cause irritation. Any suggestions?

We use the lotion instead of the spray. No particular brand, but rubbing on the lotion at the beach (we apply to each other) is also fun.

Do NOT use spray, unless you are into pain
Never had a problem with lotion, and actually rarely use it since we fake tan a few weeks before heading there. The ONE time I used the spray, let’s just say there isn’t enough rum punch to help you ignore the pain!

We use Equate (Walmart) Ultra Protection SPF 50 sunscreen. It rates within the top few for UVA and UVB protection and near the bottom for price per use. We use it all over and have never had a problem. We will have a big bottle of it with us when we arrive on Saturday.
As per my dermatologists: Ombrelle by Garnier, SPF 60. Goes on easily (it's NOT a spray) hypoallergenic, stays on when wet, seems to last most of the day. A 240 ml bottle last me most of the week.

I'm also shaved and still no problem...My wife uses lotion she don't like the spray... so it all depends on the person....

We use a silicone based sunscreen that you only need to apply once per day & it is non irritating ad binds to the skin. It is called P20 (and it comes in all sorts of spf protection levels, it's just the brand name that is actually called P20). It's readily available in Europe and in many duty free shops. You can also buy it on Amazon. Take a look if you get a chance - we don't make a Hedo trip without it!

We use various sprays, at least 30 SPF, and they have always worked well for us, on all regions of the body. I prefer spray only because it is LIGHTER than a couple bottles of lotion, and every ounce counts when I am trying to keep my suitcase under the magical 50 lb. limit!
Thanks for the suggestions! I'll talk to the wife about it!
My wife prefers the spray but I prefer the lotion as I get to rub it in on her. We just got back from Greece and they did not have sprays but did have a "pump lotion" so instead of a aerosol it was a rub in lotion but it came out sort of like a spray (I know, I am not describing it well). Aerosols are supposed to be very bad for marine life.
If you are trying to do only carry on you can buy sunscreen at the gift shop or if you are taking a private taxi most of them will stop at a Walmart type store (Hi-Low or something like that) where you can buy sunscreen. The gift shop is more than US prices, but it can be less than checked baggage fees on many airlines.
