    Gifts

I'm curious if anyone has ever brought gift items for staff? If so, what types of items are best received/needed?

    Thanks!

You can give the entertainers any theme night stuff you don't want to take home, because it is hard for them to get in Jamaica. They appreciate it.

We bring gifts such as shower gels, perfume, body spray, chocolates, stationery. Everyone seems to enjoy that for sure. Since I have one person I go to for my massage and have been using her for years, she is a single mom with a teen girl so I usually bring gifts for her daughter as well. They are very appreciative of anything you bring.

We're here now, and we brought a 20" 3 speed electric box fan ($15 @ Walmart)
to drown out the sound of the tree frogs to sleep. All of my regular luggage fit in my carry on suitcase, because of all my planned nudity, so the fan was my checked luggage ($25 with American airlines). We didn't want to spend another $25 to send it home, so we planned on leaving it here. Four people wanted the fan when we were done with it. The baggage handler from Sunholiday travel asked for it first and will be waiting for us when we get back to the airport Saturday. Three hedo staff members that welcomed us home asked me for it upon arrival. I told them it was already spoken for, but wished I had one for everybody. We will be bringing another one on our next trip.

p.s. I know you arrive soon so here's what I know: The weather has been beautiful, except for the 1 hour downpour in the afternoon, but then clears right back up. The ocean is like bath water, you don't have to get use to it at all. The resort is less than half full, but you don't have to wait in line for food and drinks, and there is still plenty of fun, sexy people. Have fun!

    Thank you popatop!
I'm sad that we will be just missing you.
Heck, we may pass one another at the airport.
Can't wait to hear about your trip!!

I had read somewhere that reading glasses were helpful. I'm considering picking some up at the $ store for those who need them.
As well as school supply items.
A box fan is a great idea as well!!

We'll be one of the tan, grumpy looking couples realizing we have to go back to the real world that you may pass by in the airport!

Reading glasses and school supplies would be much appreciated I'm sure.

We usually bring a gift for a local person or staff. If it is a more valuable gift for staff (such as a musical instrument)we write a note saying that it was not solicited for or given for exchange and given willingly to a person who is a friend.

I'll recognize the look. I'll give air hugs as we pass.

We usually bring school supplies and donate them. This year after hearing a speaker at a conference talk about the power of the big red ball (and seeing examples of soccer balls kids have made all over the world) we're going to bring a few soccer balls for the local kids. The box fan is a good idea too!

Oh I love this!!!! I wish I would have seen this earlier.
I picked up gum and candies and reading glasses of varying strengths.

I may also bring nail polishes and some sugar scrubs we make at my shop to give to staff.
