    Wink E-readers

Can you bring a kindle to the nude pool area? Is any E-reader okay as long as it doesn't have a camera?

The rules specifically prohibit photography. You can use your kindle without issue.
We've used our tablets (with cameras) for reading, and some folks use their cell phones while on the nude side, BUT NOT for taking pictures.
Although I did find an app, while searching for a camera app, for android that put a phony image on the tablet screen, while enabling the camera. Found it disconcerting, and was going to be watching for anyone holding their tablet in a particular way.
We were going to place stickers over the camera lens this year, just to ensure everyone was aware the camera was disabled.

I believe signs now say "no electronic devices"
    As most have cameras.

Is this a very new policy, this is the last notice I saw.

I read that as NO photograhy devices.
Hence why I was going to cover the camera lens with a bright coloured sticker.
OK that may be pushing the boundaries, but I've never seem anyone forbidden from using a reader or tablet, or cellphone, for that matter.

Why would you go to Hedo and use any gadget while being on the nude side? Obviously for the investment made, and the reason you are there, e-reader is the last thing you need. If you still need to use it, stay on the prude side or the dining hall. We do use our laptop from 8 to 10 am. and if really required in our room. Would not give up the experience of real life Hedo to a gadget? Just my 2 cents, everyone is welcome to do what they want to do, wherever.

I do agree gadgets tend to stay in safe and room. But we do bring with us phone or ipod for music occasionally. I would say most guests are courteous and would not take pictures but hard to keep control of every one.

Our phones STAY in the safe. We disconnect from the world at Hedo, go off the grid so to speak. Tablets we use (as readers) under the trees from about 10:00AM till noon or 13:00, then they go back in the safe as we head for the nude pool.
Pictures, we used to take them, on the nude side, around 07:00-08:00, when no one is around. Security was aware of what we we're doing and only stopped us when others were walking toward the nude side.

Recently back home, and there was a guy using a Tablet at the nude pool. From the way he was holding it I could not tell if he was recording or reading. Could have been doing either. He was not challenged by anyone, that I saw.

We have never had a problem with our phones on the nude side by keeping them in our pool bag or laying them flat on the chair to read and listen to music. We sometimes bring a wireless speaker and use the phone as the music source. We also make it a point to talk and be friendly with the security guards, and we make it a point to keep our use of electronics limited and under control. Common scenario, my wife is laying on her stomach on a lounger, our beach bag is on the ground at the head of the lounger, her phone is inside the bag while she's manipulating the phone to select music. The guard walks by and we chat about the song selection, but the phone stays in the bag. With that type of cooperation I think the guards are usually very easy to get along with, after all, they just have a job to do and are trying to do their job while keeping guests happy. I think if you bring your e-reader and show it to the guard when you arrive, show that there is no camera, they will probably say "ok." If they don't then just put it away without argument and when the guard changes, just ask the next guard if they approve.

My wife loves to read and uses her Kindle all day every day when on the nude beach at Hedo. It's never been an issue.

My wife is uses her Kindle on the nude beach also. She has never had any trouble with security. It's a good idea to bring a gallon-size ziplock bag to stash it in for the occasional rain showers.

I know this may not be a popular response for some people but I really wish people would limit their use of ipads, phones, etc to places where there aren't a lot of people nearby. Don't assume that just because no one challenges you that you aren't making someone uncomfortable. We've been in situations where we've been near someone constantly holding up a phone or ipad and we've simply moved someplace else. There are plenty of places at Hedo, even on the nude beach where you could use these devices and not make anyone uncomfortable.
