Rainy weather

We will be arriving this Sunday June 11 and I checked the weather and seems like it will be raining quite a bit. Has anyone been during a rainy week? What was it like? Is there still covered areas to hang out when it's raining? Or is it pretty much sit in ur room and wait out the rain.

I use to be obsessed with checking the weather before our trips. Now I try not to. Either way rain or shine you will have a great time. Plus the weather in the Caribbean can change quickly and the rain usually lasts for a few hours and is gone. Either way you will have fun

DO NOT concern yourselves with the weather forecast. It changes constantly and is never very accurate. If it does rain it will be gone quickly. Some of the best times we have had is while it was pouring rain and we hung out in the nude pool.

We had a few days when it was raining more or less the whole day. We were NOT in our rooms sitting and waiting for it to end. I have to admit we had some extra time spent in our bed, quite fun time, mind you under the ceiling mirror... You can pretty much do everything else except the beach stuff, like sailing, kayaking and such. We spent a little extra time in the gym and playing ping pong and fussball and had fun around the pool table. There are enough covered areas, like the main bar where its easy to have a good time as well. Its nice and warm even if it's raining, so getting a little wet did not bother us. Less rain would have been nice, but it was still magical time. I agree with b&br, their weather forecast is pretty much worthless, the day it rained for 24 hours we were supposed to have partly cloudy with occasional showers and the day they forecasted severe rain with flooding we were out 3 times kayaking and the only thing we got from the sky was pelican poop that barely missed us!

It is the tropics, so it rains. Normally it will be a 30 minute to one hour rain then hot and sunny again. We often go to the hot tub while it rains, either way, don't sweat it, just have fun and don't worry about the weather

I enjoy the hot tub on a rainy day as long as there is no thunder/lightning associated with it.You might want to take a waterproof hat or cap when you go;especially if you wear glasses.
