Privacy question - Google Glass and Snap Spectacles

    Hi all,

Does anyone know if Hedo security team now watch out for Google Glass or Snap Spectacle users? We had some complaints of this from friends who were on another adult vacation.

I would expect the same policy as applied on mobile phone cameras and regular cameras on the nude side and during night events?

It would definitly NOT be allowed, but I doubt the security could tell the differance between regular glasses an Google glass.

I believe that anyone who had the nerve or balls to try this sort of thing at Hedo would probably not fit in or belong there. I think someone would probably identify it pretty quickly and out them. Everyone at Hedo talks to each other and if this sort of thing were going on it would probably turn into a lynch mob sort of confrontation.

MNMYYC: You are right. My wife spotted a guy with a phone out taking pics on the nude side one day. All of the surrounding guests quickly took interest, security got involved, I was given his phone to delete all the pics and he was escorted off of the property. Everyone watches each other's backs there (oh, and boobs).

We were there one week when a guest was seen with glasses that took pictures. They were taken away and he was escorted to his room to pack.

Shame. I hope these few incidents have got security more alert. Don't want that constant fear to ruin our holiday but need to still watch out I guess! Technology grrrrr......

I totally think it is uncool to have them at Hedo out of respect of the privacy of others. The great thing for me is that I am at the point in my life if someone got a pic of me at Hedo or they peeked over the fence in my backyard to see me naked it is their problem.

Yeah, I agree, at this stage in life it isn't an issue, don't look over my fence. BUT sadly there are people that only care about getting that one picture of a naked person.
What we need to watch out for is the drones. Also the Sandles boats that cruise close to the shore line to catch a view of naked people. I think these are more important than guests with glasses. At least the guests you can catch and offer them a colonoscopy with their cameras. LOL. Or even test their cameras water proof-ness, in the ocean [Best leave the unit powered up].
I'd say 99.9% of people at H2 are considerate, and those that aren't, are offered a quick exit from the resort.
But again, pictures can be taken from off shore, and their is nothing we can do about that.
As well. the beach is public property (up to the high tide mark), so anyone walking on it, can take pictures.

I have taken many pictures in the past, and we (and only WE) thoroughly enjoy reviewing our adventures at Hedo, but you can never trust anyone, with "Pictures", except us of course, LOL

We have also taken a number of pics at hedo...we are always respectful of the "background", most pics are of us on the beach with the ocean as a background, the sunset, us standing in our outfits in front of a bush/wall or in our room. Others in our pics always knew and were ok with pics. We also never hide it if we are taking pics and if anybody ever asked (it has not happened) to look at our pics we would show them. Last year at the beach party they had a steel drum group performing, we were at the table in the front row...we thought it was a good idea to take a video of the band (no guests were were going to be in it), within seconds of taking the camera out and putting it on the table, security came up to our table and told us not to take any pics, I said I only wanted the band to show the family back at home, they said they did not want any pics/vids taken so we said no problem mon and put the camera away.

We have also seen a few people take pics without others permission...one guy had a camera under a magazine taking pics on the nude beach, he was caught and another guest threw his camera in the ocean. Another guy tried to hide his camera under a towel on the nude beach and security caught him and made him delete all his pics...the next day he was caught again and a guest grabbed his camera and threw it...it landed on the roof of Point Village and security then escorted him to the front desk. The camera was retrieved and after viewing the pics by security the card was confiscated and he was kicked off the resort. We also found out that a video camera was set up on the second floor of a room overlooking the nude pool...he was caught and also kicked out.

We are sure that others do take sneaky pics and get away with it, but what can we do. We also have heard of drones flying over the nude area, but if the person controlling it is off resort, what can you do...maybe throw rocks..lol. Plus, we have seen many boats from other resort cruise past Hedo and many people on the boat have taken pics...when we see that we just moon.

My wife is very attractive (ok I am very biased...lol), but with the internet there are lots of porn/adult sites (this being one of them), we figure that most people trolling the web for nude people will not look for random pics/vids of people on a nude beach (most of us are not 25 year old hardbodies). Unless somebody is looking to frame us we think that the chance of our pic (if taken by an unknown person) getting exposed to somebody that we know and could negatively affect (or is effect...always mix those up) our lives is extremely small. Like others that go to hedo, we both work in fields that would look at us at hedo being a bad thing, but we figure you only live once so make the best of it and if something ever comes up...deal with it then. We are also lifestylers and we figure that there is a much better chance of getting "outed" for that (you never know who you may run into....we usually play in the city we live), than having a person from another city/state/county take a pic of you and it getting to a person who knows you.

Go have fun, enjoy life, respect others and if you do have a camera do not hide it or be sneaky.

True about your wife, I have pictures of your wife, she is attractive, and I have shared them. NO, JUST KIDDING.

Unfortunitly MY wife was photographed on stage, in a respectable costume that you could ware anywhere. And that photo was posted on Trip Advisor. Now nothing personal is revealed about her person, BUT, the picture refers to events at a resort called HEDO. So that now places us at a resort, were nun of our family and friends know we go to.

"Go have fun, enjoy life, respect others and if you do have a camera do not hide it or be sneaky". Very good advice, you only ever live once.

Forgot to add, Trip Advisor refuses to remove the photos

Had a similar event at H3 ( i know old timer here). A guy had a room above the nude pool and a guest saw him taking pics. Security was notified, His camera card confiscated and smashed (literally) and the guest was nowhere to be seen after that. But in all honestly folks that take these "secret pics", please don't spoil it for the rest of us.Have fun while there and whatever happens at Hedo stays there AND NOT THE INTERNET. Please be respectful as everybody has lives that may or may not jive professionally or publicly with the vibe. Live and Let Live.
