Add us to the simple list as well. We like the basic accommodations don't need much more and we actually enjoy the food. And we're not just saying that a cause we ourselves have been critical of the food in past years but In our humble opinion we think the food is so much better than past visits. The little things that we didn't like they have improved ie. Fridges in he rooms and bottle water available. For us it just keeps getting better.

We found the food in the restaurant to be absolutely fantastic! The buffet was alright but if you're rating the hotel based on food or room size you're missing the point of Hedo! The beds were king size and we were able to confirm that if u stack em right u can get 8 people in it!

what is Hedo worth: room and daily maid service 125.00 to $150.00, 3 meals breakfast $15-$20, lunch $15-20, dinner $25-45 x2= $55-$85. entertainment, $25-$50 x 2=$50-$100, booze $25-$50 x 2 =$50 x$2 to $100, no tipping @ 20% excluding room & entertainment = $16-$37. Basics = $271-$472. Free water sports increase the value. How much being naked worth? Intrested in others valuations please chime in.

From a Canadian point of view, when researching for our upcoming trip next week (yipee!) I found that prices had gone up dramatically across the board. However, Hedo was still one of the least expensive all-inclusives by comparison...Sandals was way more $. I agree with NN, what price can you put on all the fun you are going to have and all the free spirits you are going to meet?

Just returned from our second visit on Saturday - trip report coming soon. We admit that the rooms are dated, but not really small. like most have said, you really shouldn't be spending much time in them, unless you have guests... which the bed is plenty big enough for. My wife craves the late night grilled cheese. The omelets are made to order and spectacular, as is the pasta in the main dining room. The beach meal on jamaica night as well as the main pool meal on rock star night are really top notch. We are really looking forward to our return in November!

Exactly! Being from Eastern PA the New Jersey "shore" is the go-to vacation spot for millions every summer. My trips to Hedo are always the week after our (US) Labor Day (2nd week in Sept). I maintain that a trip to Hedo that week, including airfare (from Philly), is LESS expensive than a week at the "shore", unless you own the property, because of the All Inclusive aspect. Unless, at the shore, you don't eat (available at Hedo from approx 7 AM - 5 AM 7 days a week), drink (available at Hedo from approx 10 AM - 5 AM 7 days a week), party (available at Hedo 24/7), have entertainment (either by staff or other guests) or engage in water sports (not the sexual kind, though I'm sure they are available too) including SCUBA.

The food will always be better at one of the restaurants than at the buffet for, what should be, obvious reasons and I'm by no means knocking the buffet. If the room decor is that important to you, I would suggest one of the new premium rooms.

Everyone's wants and needs are different ... I'm with the "simple" people.
