Jamaican WaterSlide(less) Team 17th Annual Trip September 2016

What we did on our September Vacation with the Jamaican Water Slide Team 2016

The official JWST week was Saturday September 10th to Saturday the 17th. We were not the first to arrive on the 8th. A number of ‘senior’ Team members had arrived ahead of the rush: some to ‘acclimatize’ to the time change and the stress of travel; others to get better travel rates and beat the airport crowds. Of course, the real organizers were on hand early to ensure we all arrived and got registered easily.
We had booked the most distant room on the Prude side (we are cheap bastards!) Immediately bumped up to ocean view, nude—with fully working plumbing and A/C.
Saturday and Sunday afternoons kept a number of people busy with ‘meet and greet’ duties. In truth, Philly Dave was everywhere, taking care of all the required hugs and goody bag distributions.
Disturbing the carefully planned schedule was the closing of the main dining room for most dinners (due to low occupancy), and the open seating of the other restaurants. So on Saturday evening a LARGE table of Water Sliders did their own Meat and Greet at Flame restaurant, and enjoyed steak-based meals and great company. Nice open air, on the beach eating spot—highly recommended.
The first few days we spent (when not dispersed by raging thunderstorms) around the nude pool, trying to mix and match our numbers for the Name Game, or simply soaking up the local culture (Red Stripe, rum, dirty bananas etc.) Some did an excellent job of playing sponges and soaking up more than their share. Beautiful sunny mornings followed by thunder and lightning, then calm for the evenings. Almost perfect.
The first real theme was Sunday’s Hedonistic Schoolgirl. That cut the guys out (as we like it) and focused our attention on the ‘girls’ (at Hedo, we do not need to be PC! It’s fantasy time). And the ‘girls’ were out on display.

    Sites and sounds
If you recall the building site from last year, and the assumptions that ‘it will never get finished on time’ you were thrilled to see the new lobby, the enhanced and much improved main dining room, and the stage. Better lighting and improved loud speakers were all part of the package. The ‘eat where you want – no reservations necessary’ made last minute decisions much easier.
Not many changes at the Piano Bar—same old Dion, same old shtick, same lousy, buzzy speakers, same good ‘clean’ fun. Most of us sampled all the restaurants and the new menus. Most of us ate well (or too well).
A/C renewal was in progress. A few of our number were moved from room to room so the techs could install new units. Those with (finally) good working air conditioning were pleased with the improvements.
Constant hot or cold water was a problem some days. But we all managed to appear at dinner looking washed and dressed. Some even sober!

    Popcorn moments
If you can’t eat them, join them. Some girl-on-girl action at the pool. Some guys, not invited to be a part, simply sat around munching popcorn (instead of simply munching …), and grading a score for level of difficulty.
Took a l-o-n-g time to read and study some of those T-shirts. The JWST hosted a ‘Naughty’ T-shirt competition on Monday afternoon. Great way to get to know new friends (up and personal). Great way to win prizes and awards. Good naughty fun.
Then there was the gentleman who was asked to walk slower since his swinging … might hit somebody. A few of the women were asked not to turn around too fast, in case the shorter guys got hit in the face by a passing boob. I wish.
The self-styled ‘lube queen’ carefully and slowly applied a generous supply of Glide to a willing guest, so her condom-ed husband would have no difficulty applying himself to the tasks at hand. Lube Queen offered her services to other watching guys’ partners. Nice show.
Two permanently hard nipples apparently required a couple of helping hands and mouths to remove applied rum cream. Insatiable: they kept coming back for more attention.
Twerking lessons were watched and studied. Some of our team even showed the staff how to improve on a good thing. Fortunately, none of the guys attempted such a difficult exercise.

    Memorable moments
We all have our own memorable moments. Some of the more out-there: four pairs of pelicans demonstrating synchronized diving. A fleet of sting rays gliding through the schools of small fish at the beach. A white tip shark off the dock at night. The face of ecstasy when Tom won three nights at the Name Game draw. The pool clearing in seconds as another thunder clap hit too close to home. Setting you watch by the 2:30 pm rain shower. If only the trains would run in such a timely manner.
Red Dress at Night: our formal dinner at Pastafari was a great success. The ladies (many dressed in red) were a stunning attraction. After seeing so much of them in the pool and on the beach, the transformations were somehow even more erotic. I loved it.
The late evening Glow Pool Party was well attended, but seemed (at least to some) to be oriented to guests with evening passes.
I missed it: Perverted Password was (as reported) a grand success. Anything that can get a bunch of people so animated in mid-afternoon, is great. A Philly Dave success (again).
The Wednesday Cat Cruise and Lobster Lunch was a sell-out success. Eager passengers lined up well ahead of the s-l-o-w boarding procedure. Reminds you of trying to catch a plane, with tickets and signatures and … The last passengers were barely seated (or was that just topless) when the cat cast off and headed off and aweigh. Reports came back of fun having been had by all, along with a delicious lunch and plenty to drink.
The beach, meantime, was quiet. Finally, an hour late, we enjoyed an unusually well played bocce ball game—tactical play by both sides. Lots of those Hedo Bucks to go around.
Carter’s Pub Crawl was well received: a mix of old and new bars, and old and new experiences. Reportedly, no really hurt heads the next day.
Has to be said: The evening themes and competitions were generally a bit of a flop. Yes, some of the guests dressed in theme, but the ECs did not use the competitions to their best. Get the girls on stage, and off again as soon as possible—and hand out a few Hedo Bucks. Disappointing!
One Thursday the guest entertainment was stunningly professional. The next (with a couple of noted exceptions) was high school sad. But the Foam Party down by the disco was well attended and fun. A large number of guests seemed to miss the point of the foam. Perhaps lessons are needed!
A real success was the blending of JWST with the Zoo Crew. Some guests were members of both groups. Some were not members of either. And it did not matter. Most everyone mixed and mingled at a level with which they felt comfortable. That’s to the credit of both Larry and Dave. Big round of applause to them both. Listen up for future combined operations in the New Year.
The Zoo Crew’s Friday Farewell was also an added chance for JWST guests to mix and mingle as we all head home again. Sad but fun.
Slowly the JWST week slipped into memory as all the Team headed to the airport and beyond. See you again next year?
