Now we know that drinks are a very personal thing but we're determined not to go through another trip (in 18 days time..... yay!) where we just have our usual drinks at the nude pool, which seems to be beer, rum & coke, and rum punch. We did once try a few purple motherfuckers once but they mainly tasted of purple.

Are there any drinks we should try that they do well at Hedo?

We're open to suggestions and will try all of the ones that don't sound hideous. Whoever has the best suggestion gets some sort of prize, probably.

As someone who's also eighteen days away from Hedo's lobby...yeah!!, I'd suggest you try a Dirty Banana at the Nude Beach Bar. I enjoy having one early in the day, often as a first drink of the day. They also do spicy Bloody Mary's if you ask for it that way.

I'm also a creature of habit, so it's mostly beer, vodka ting, gin & tonic for me with the occasional shot. Strangely, I drink rum at home, but rarely when in Jamaica.

18 days for us! Our drink situation is unusual. My personal preference is Coconut Rum on the rocks, or rum and diet. But I will literally drink just about anything. Melisa, however, is very picky about flavor. She likes white wine (Chardonnay), but nothing at Hedo suits her taste. I personally, can "drink for affect" and disregard taste. But she refuses to follow that mantra and must love what she drinks. So, last year we brought 6 bottles of the only brand of Chardonnay that she likes. While at Hedo last year she discovered that she likes their rum punch but only with an extra shot of rum. Since then, she has found something she likes even better. Pecan whiskey. So the plan this year is to bring 3 bottles of her wine and 2 bottles of pecan whisky. That will be enough to get her started every evening. After a two or three drinks of the good stuff her finickiness for flavor passes and she'll drink the local flavors. In short, I pack 5 or 6 bottles of something in our luggage to bring to an all inclusive resort, lol.

If we share shots of pecan whiskey with you (and it is really good), does that win the prize?

Going to be there April 1! Our travel friends last November introduced us to WooHoo (or WooWoo?) - a pretty strong, sweet shot. I like to take a shot of Fireball in a tall glass and add in Pina Colada from the machine. I call it an Albino Fire Truck.

The dirty banana & the hummingbird sound like they could be contenders, but the idea of the Pepsi with water on the rocks could be good as a mid-drink 'calmer'.

We tried the WooWoos previously but we're terrible at shots (unless it's a rum cream luge shot!).

The pecan whiskey sounds interesting, but we have moral standards and can't be bought or bribed....... so the winner is pecan whiskey....yaaaaay. We lied about the moral standards!

Not sure what's in the bob Marley but they are lethal. I vote dirty bannna and also we enjoy grey goose with soda water and a lime or lemon. Now for shots we enjoy the woo hoo or woo woo which ever it is just make sure they use the good vodka.
