    Construction

Has all the construction been completed? If not what else is planned. We are looking at going in 2018 and just wanted to miss the construction.. I think this has been addressed but couldn't find it please forgive if this is a repeat.

I think there is constant construction updating individual rooms. And I'm sure there is another major upgrade planned before 2018.

Based on recent history, they don't really announce the construction schedule in advance... maybe a couple weeks ahead.

The best way to avoid construction is to avoid the off-peak season. They don't tend to plan major renovations during peak times.

It is usually a last min thing that us as guests are not aware of until days before. And Hedo does not plan too far in advance for it either, they do when they can depending on occupancy.

    What they said.

The resort doesn't seem to announce construction projects until shortly before they begin. That said, the non-premium room bathroom renovation project will likely be ongoing.

I believe they do plan to redo the nude pool deck with a similar non-slip/reduced slip surface like the main pool up top so that they can eliminate the black mats that are there now(which hurt to walk barefoot on). But I think that project is dependent on a redo of the "prude beach" pool & bar redo...that likely got pushed back with the big air conditioning redo that became priority #1 this past summer.

From experience and observations most large projects seem to start around July and try to end up before Halloween. Lowest occupancy part of the year. We like to go in September and twice have experienced major remodeling projects.

Or they just don't like telling guest so they still book. I think they rather get your money and deal with you when you get there. It seems the oh well I am still at hedo mentality or the even a day at hedo with construction is better then not being hedo attitude allows the resort to put its needs before the customers.

It's a great place love going there but they know they control the market so they can do what they want and people will return

Usually if Harry is at the repeaters nights on Wed He tells you what is happening no the renos what is going on or will happen! Very informative and accommodating for the guests that go during that time.
