We are leaving in about a week for Hedo and where we live in upstate ny it's not exactly. Warm weather season, we were wondering how the local shopping is for things like sun dresses and things like that?

they do have a selection at the on-site store in hedo, also there is a market almost across the road but the quality is not the best.

There is a shopping mall called Times Square on Norman Manley Boulevard, about at 10 minute taxi ride from Hedo. A lot of small souvenir type stores but might be worth checking out.

You can walk down the beach just past Sandals, there's a place called the boardwalk... About 6 little buildings with everything you could imagine... There is a lady in there first building on the left, her name is Valerie. She makes sun dresses and men's button up shirts right in her store, if you like a particular dress but it's long and you want it short, she'll do it while you wait... We visit her every time we go home...

Her prices are pretty reasonable... We were there in Sept, bought 2 sundresses for $40 USD.. Which I thought was pretty good...

Just my two cents here . She makes the dresses and shirts by hand right there. You can always haggle in Jamaica but once my wife watched her make it to order and it was like $15 bucks she gladly paid full price. Three years and I haven't so much as lost a button. But Amazon will get you plenty also.

Problem we have is not being able to try things on andnshipping back and forth, we were thinking bring what we have but also get stuff there

The resort store has sexy outfits you can buy for theme nights.. A little bit of everything... They have a change room in the store, and so does the lady down the beach... Either place will be happy to help you out... And besides its Hedo...you don't really need that many clothes...lol...

Ogdensburg? Wow, you are WAY up there. My little town north of Syracuse, right on Lake Ontario, is cold enough. Not warm weather is an understatement. You must be freezing up there
