Door Decorating

We are headed home for our 2nd trip Jan 23-30 (who else will be there .. can't wait to meet new friends)

We noticed last year that many people like to decorate their door for the week ... so our question for those who have in the past what have you done ... anything unique or anything that stood out?

We will be there from the 26th through the 4th and we're also thinking about door decorations..not sure a giant sign saying "come molest us" would be prudent, but we'd like to hear other options..

sometimes it's easy to let someone know where your room is.
Like, Hey if you guys wanna meet at our room in an hour, its the one with the Police Crime Scene tape on it, can't miss it.

Another benefit of door decoration is that when its late at night it is a lot easier to find your room !

My wife normally decorates our door, on our December trips she normally uses a Christmas theme, garland, snow man, reindeer etc. On our May trips usually a name placard, with flamingo's or something like that..Makes it fun
Some people go all out, she normally keeps it simple

I place a "Help Wanted Sign" it has about a dozen different sex positions with the caption, many positions available.... And our names below it...

We've been twice over Hedoween and the door decorations are amazing. One couple had a small table outside their door with a bowl. Instead of candies they had.............condoms. Sure, we grabbed a few. Ya never know!

We have not done the door decorating...yet...lol We bring lots of fun stuff...xmas lights, banners for the window, and enough shoes (her) for an army.

We have thought about it before, and may do it in the future.

Our thoughts,

1. How are you going attach stuff to the door...one year we tried duct tape in our room...when we were leaving it took paint off. Now we use command strips.
2. Hedo people are great...for the most part, but there are A holes there. Do not put anything on your door that you do not want to be destroyed/stolen. On one trip some A hole took a smoke (not sure what type) and burnt a hole in every float on the beach. Bummer the A was not caught.
3. If you are entertaining other couples, door decor can help them find your room....room numbers also help...lol
4. We have seen some peeps put white boards with dry erase markers on their doors...lots of fun notes left
5. Whenever we see a door (or window) decorated we smile....Hedo is a fun place!

We like the decorations no matter what they are. Another happy quirk of Hedo.

We take our home country's flag and either hang it in our window our on our balcony. Let people know where we are from. China flag the last two trips. We just moved, so our next trip will be the Singapore flag. We are a bit concerned because the China flag is easily recognized, the Singapore flag less so.

You'll just have to educate all of us what the Singapore looks like.... After you've been to Hedo once we all become family... So we don't mind learning new things... And if it happens to be flags, do share!!

We hang a Canadian flag in our windo project and use the curtain hooks to put it up..

Whiteboard bought.. we thought it was a great idea. Now we are trying to decide what to put on it.. lol
