You may want to bring a parasol with you, there's not a lot of shaded areas since most go seeking the sun. And do not skimp on the sunscreen, get the good stuff that is both water and sweat resistant. There's a couple brands that have a sports type that works well in Jamaica. I think we use the Banana Boat stuff.

I have a parasol that we carried the length of France... from bottom to top.. i could bring that lol i'm sure it would like a trip to Jamaica..

I have factor 50 for all over, it usually does fine, it was good for the Dominican Republic when we went there.

im a red too but i color it so much you would never know. i start at the tanning salon for 7 min then work up to 10 , 12, then 15. depending on the salon. my nose and lips is what i have to really watch in jamaica... cj had a white tee shirt she cut off the bottom part on wore the shoulder part like football shoulder pads to cover up one year i thought that was a pretty good idear...

I always have two sarongs with me, so i can cover up at any time i need to. Also a handy pillow when i need a nap, or something to sit on. etc etc.

(as Ford Prefect said - "You should always have your sarong with you...")

yes I get sun bumps if i'm out for to long and it is not a fun thing to get. I have a tank top that i cut very short so to cover the parts that hurts. I think I need to get something like ask and i will show you my tits to put on it so people don't look at me when in the nude pool. lol

But I do have to watch the sun so that I don't get them.
