    Food for Plain Jane

I'm about as Plain Jane as you can get when it comes to food. How has everyone's experience been with the food choices?

I'm a fairly "meat-and-potatos" eater and have never had trouble filling up on food there, breakfast lunch and dinner. Besides, you can always skip the entree and go straight for the desserts!

I think the general rule is that just about anyone can find something to eat at the various venues at Hedo.

I'm a pretty picky eater myself. I found that the first few days were tough as far as food, but once you figure out what is what at the buffet it is all good. Just brace yourself for things like bone-in fish and chicken. Also a lot of the foods that Americans will think should be salty may end up being sweet.

The breakfast bar was the best for me. They will make you eggs anyway you want. They switch out the entrees from night to night, so you won't always find the same stuff. I was able to always find something good though.

If I remember correctly they had Jerk Chicken almost every night and it is really good.

Jerk chicken and fries at the nude grill after getting a decent red stripe buzz might be the most glorious meal on the planet.

There is NO possible way for anyone to go hungry at Hedo... If the main Buffett isn't your thing, they have

Pastafari - on the menu tenderloin, pasta, chicken, salads, soups, and the best cheese ravioli..
Harry San (Japaneese)cooked right in front of you with chicken, fish, beef, fried or steamed rice, veggies, sushi, and deep fried ice cream...
Flame (Prude grill) the best steak... House salad with pears and beets, veggies... And cheese cake...

And that's just what either I ordered or the hubby..

So a pickie eater or not...lol...if you go hungry for dinner at Hedo....you're doing something wrong... There is "something" for everyone..you just have to try everything...lol

As a vegetarian with numerous food allergies including nuts, yogurt and most soft or semi-soft cheese, I would beg to differ with you. When last I was there it was a real struggle to find something I could trust that I could eat. I am hoping that the situation is better under the "new regime". I will see in 21 days...

We got sick after Pastafari earlier this year. The other places were great. Lobster night is awesome. The buffet is very good too.

It depends on what you'd describe as "Plain Jane Food". If you mean that you don't like gourmet type food with fancy ingredients only found in specialty stores... then you're in luck.

We found the food at Hedo to be OK. Most people can find something they like, but generally not memorable. The selection depends highly on occupancy but most people comment that the selection at the buffet isn't great. What you find is well cooked and perhaps a little bland.

The food is not likely to be the highlight of your vacation at Hedo... but you probably weren't thinking is was going to be.

Your first stop should be to see Chef Anthony Miller and let him know of your allergies. He will work around it for you.
