    For the experienced Canadians

Do they serve rye? If so, what should be asked for at the bar?

In the US rye isn't rye as we know it. Often times puzzled looks are given when asking for Rye at a bar outside of Canada. Lol

    Thank you!

Over the last little while, they have been really good with stocking all the bars with premium mix, just ask for what you would at home..chances are they will have it, or it might take a day or so to get it in...

Excellent! Thank you. I think he usually just orders rye and Coke. So this way he'll know to ask for CC or the like.

They have CC and Crown. I believe that the coke might be fountain pop tho, witch in my opinion ruins the drink. Maybe the piano bar may have coke in bottles.

Crown Royal is a Canadian rye whiskey made right here in Manitoba. If you can find it where you live pick up a bottle of Crown Royal Northern Harvest, it was judged to be the best whiskey in the world for 2016.

Technically Royal Crown is a corn, barley, and rye blended whiskey. But no matter -- it is hard to find a smoother whiskey. Both CC and 40 have a harder edge and can be washed down with coke or pop, but RC should not be wasted that way. Straight or with a bit of water, preferably warm water to bring out the flavour and aromas. Definitely not on ice since that dilutes the flavours at an uneven rate and the cold stops the release of the volatilized tastes and smells.

But all of this only really matters at home. None of it makes much difference once we've had a bloody mary for breakfast, two beers before lunch to cool down, two glasses of wine with lunch, four rum and cokes and a margarita in the pool during the afternoon, a glass of champagne at sunset, two more wines with dinner, and a sambuca with desert. By this time I'm drinking whatever anyone puts in front of me.
