I been asked the difference between Cuckold and Wittol so I have painted it with the broad strokes here so realize there may be a lot of gray areas. Wittol knows, acknowledges and encourages his wife's infadelity. Whereas Cuckold usually involves humiliation, scorn, ridicule, masculinity degradation of hubby or SO's member, often involving penis cage and oral worship or sucking of alpha male.

Interesting topic. I'm closer to a want to be "wittol" than a "cuckold" simply because I have no interest in the humiliation, scorn, etc., etc. However, I'm not sure I fit into the "wittol" group either. From the searching I've done, the definition is very broad, saying that the husband (or SO) is aware and condones the activity, but it doesn't define where the husband (or SO) are physically when the condoned activity is happening. I want to be with my wife if/when she ever decides to be sexually physical outside of our marriage. I'd want to be there to experience her enjoyment of it. I'd want to be there to possibly be also part of the fun. However, there are "wittol" people on the internet who are saying "I know my wife is at home with my best friend right now having sex with him, and that's great!". That wouldn't work for me, I don't think I'm interested in it if we can't be part of it together. And it's the same the other way, if/when there may be a secondary female involved with us (either for her pleasure or mine), I'd still want both of us to be a part of that.

So, I guess, I don't think I fit into the definition of a wittol and I'll never be a cuckold. I'm not big on labels either, but I wonder what my situation and preference might be called? Wittol was completely new to me. So thanks for the new addition to my vocabulary, even though I'm not sure I'll be using it too often.

Well,Steve,I will take a wag at it and say it would make you a V.W.(voyeur wittol).So if you introduce yourself as a VW and someone says "Nah,I'm more the Ford type",then you might know they never heard the term either....might make an interesting ice breaker to explain what you're talking about though.(but I'd only do it at Hedo!)
