When to go and where to book

    Hi all

We are from Denmark, considering to book Hedo for the first time.

We have visited Spice 3 times (so sad, they had to close) and Desire Pearl 2 times - booked for the 3rd time in November.

However, the tales of the parties at Hedo are legendary - and we are now tempted to try it out ourselves.

So - we can get time off in march/april/may - and can stay a week. When would you recommend visiting (weather/occupancy). We want to let our hair down and party - and we are in the LS. Could you recommend a group/takeover that would be fun? We have googled but find it difficult to decide for ourselves.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    XOXO

Our group goes in February, so it doesn't look like you can make it, but if plans change feel free to check us out. In the mean time, I heard the Kitten and Angel's Spring Fling is pretty awesome, you can find them at: http://kittennangel.com/

You can also find more at the Hedo website at the following link: http://www.hedonism.com/events/

    Happy Planning.

Kitten and Angel's Spring fling in April is a awesome group that except all walks of life and ages. They have planned activities that you can join or not. We have many friends that we stay in touch with throughout the year. They book via castaway travel. The group leaders are very active on here also. Chexk it out!!!

Thank you everybody! We have a lot of reading to do, for sure! I will spend my (grey and rainy danish) evening studying the links.

What is the weather and bug situation like in April?

Room recommendations are also very welcome. What is the difference between the "au natural" rooms and the "prude" rooms? Is it worth it to upgrade, or should we go for the basic rooms?

Any time is a good time to go. Since we spend little time in the rooms, we always book the least expensive room, so stay in Jamaica longer (ten days is better than seven, three weeks better than two etc.) As to quality, they are the same. Low cost rooms are frequently upgraded to nude. But nude is OK most everywhere, anyway.

As to bugs: yes there are bugs in the tropics and they do not read calendars, but do head to some naked people and not others. I find February to be cooler than I like, April is wonderful -- but then so is the rest of the calendar.

Take an open mind, take a bug spray, take way more sun screen that you think you need, go enjoy the company of new friends -- and have fun

The resort is basically split in half into a nude side and clothing optional side. There's no difference between the regular rooms on either side, the decor and amenities are exactly the same which is to say pretty minimal but clean and comfortable. There are also upgraded rooms called premium rooms, both on the nude side and the clothing optional side. They are more modern with an updated decor, but also significantly more money.

The nude side has the advantage of being closer to the nude beach, pool, and hot tub area. The clothing optional side has the advantage of being closer to the main dining room and restaurants. You can walk around nude on either side, makes no difference. We always book the clothing optional side and are frequently upgraded to the nude side. In our opinion the higher price for the nude rooms just isn't worth it, it's a short walk from the clothing optional side to the nude pool and a good way to meet people along the way.

we booked the nude side rooms our first couple of times there but we book the prude side rooms now to save a few $$$$$ its only a short walk to the nude pool in the day time but we like the short walk at night time when its time for bed.

The last week of April has many groups at that time. All fun groups. There won't be many vacant rooms. There wasn't any last April.
As was said, bugs know no season. I get bitten a lot, my wife, not at all. Bug spray works great for me.

Weather is between 28 and 30 degrees during the day (almost the same at night) with maybe a occasional showers in the afternoon. Last April we had one day of major rain and two weeks of no rain.

Rooms are as stated above. Cheapest rooms are garden view prude, followed by garden view nude (new policy) followed by ocean view prude, then ocean view nude. We don't spend enough time in our room to pay for premium or ocean view.
Rooms near the disco are more noisy, from the disco. Some premium rooms have hot tubs and balconies.
