Mango Hall Basic School Needs Our Help

As many people know my wife and I and another great couple host a group to Jamaica every spring. The group we host supports a local school by bringing school supplies every year. We have been supporting and visiting them for a couple of years now and one thing that always bothered us is that they do not have any electric in the school. It is a one floor, couple room school that supports about 50 young children. The Mango Hall Basic School in Little London Jamaica needs our help. In order to provide electric for basics such as a fan or a refrigerator for milk, they need a lightening arrestor and equipment purchased and installed up to code. Also the wiring could use some updating. The cost of this is more than our little group can provide so we are reaching out to anyone with a heart that would love to help some great kids. I can personally guarantee that every penny collected will go to these kids. If there is anything left over after the electric and supporting systems it will go to something they need. I have information and pictures of the kids as well. So we are asking to please help us, help these wonderful children. Thank you.

Have you considered organizing a day trip to see your school and meet people first hand? I'm looking forward to going to Hedo in April, but I think it would be worth taking a few hours off for this.

We have gone in the past and visited, but not every year.
Once we get the funds to get them electric and get the work done we will be going to check on it for sure.

We love the smiles on the children, but we also don't want to show up with a bus load of people and disrupt the school either.
But we have gone and brought people along to see the kids
