There is never a bad week at hedo...lol

We have went there 12 or 13 time is January, here is our 2 cents worth.

First of all, keep in mind that January is considered lifestyle month at hedo...is everybody there during the month swingers, no, but you would expect to see a higher % that are.

In the past we have booked with Lifestyle Lounge, Dream Pleasure trips and Toms Trips. The past 4 years we have booked with Adult Vacation Parties and attended with their Kama Sutra Group. All these TA do have tables set up and have had a person there from the TA to help with check in.

The only time in January that we have not gone is the first week, we are busy with the holidays and have never forced an adult vaction right after (family trips to visit the inlaws....yes....lol....that is for another time). Plus we have heard that there is a small lull in activites after NYE so we wanted to avoid that and jump right into the wild times. We do have friends that have gone the first week and have said good things. Week 2 and 3 are about the same, a lot of fun. Both Dream Pleasure and Toms Trips seem to have a lot of the bookings during this time, however I am sure that there are other TA's with groups there as well. Every year is about the same...sometimes a little crazier other years a little more mild, but it is dependent on the guests. You will also find that many people keep going the same week every year. The main reason we switched years was because the availbility of Grandparents to watch out youngins. About 5 years ago we were with LL during week 3 and came across the Kama group. They were a lot of fun and looked into joining thier group the next year. We were told they are moving to week 4, so after verifying that we had sitters we booked. We later found out LL moved to week 4 as well. We like the energy of the Kama group and the extras that they put on, pool parties, drink bitches...that is what the girls who work for them call themselves, theme parties, off site trips, body painters, etc. So we have continued to book with them.

A couple other thoughts that may or may not influence you.

    1. January usually sells out, because of this we have noticed that the price is steeper than other times of the year.
    2. In our opinion week 2 and 3 has a higher average age for the guests....although ever year we keep getting closer to the average....lol. We assume this because people keep coming back year after year and if they started when they were 35 and are on trip 16....you can do the math.
    3. If you fly out of MSP, both SunCountry and Delta have direct flights but not every day.
    4. The Kama group is based out of Canada...Toronto, I think. Because of this there is a lot of Canadians there. We have discovered that if you brush up on your Hockey knowledge and throw in a ah every now and again you will discover that these peeps do not bite...well they do but only when asked
    5. Being the resort is packed, sometimes you may have to wait a bit longer for a drink, have a hard time making a dinner reservation, finding a seat in the hottub, getting as much scuba in or finding a beach chair. That is ok with us, but others not so much.
    6. The humidity and Temps in January are some of the lowest of the year. This means that the pool (unheated) can be a little chilly somedays...but once your in you are ok...it is getting in that is hard.
    7. It is not real rainy in January. Of all the trips we have never had a total wash out and many trips never even saw it rain.

    Hoped this Helped,

    Mr. Toohorny

we started going in 2012 on the 3rd week of Jan... we have done the 3rd week every year after... and we are going again this Jan coming... but now we do a cross over... half of the 2nd week all the 3rd and half the 4th.... with one of these weeks are a good time... but like said Jan is more pricey then other times we have went... we have found that we can go 2 times a year once in April and once in Oct for almost the same price we do Jan. Jan cost us $446.00 per night and April cost 332.00 per night thats per couple on a 7 night trip its around $1000.00 cheaper and the party is the same ... theres no bad time to go to hedo but we are at the point where we have done the math on it and we have decided to do a couple of times a year and skip Jan. so in 2017 we will not be doing Jan for that reason. it only took 8 trips to figure that out...lol... we love the place and can't wait for the next trip
