Construction update

Well I'm sitting just outside Hedo's main dinning area and upper pool. It's all gone. As I sit you can hear the sound of jackhammers and power saws. I'ts pretty much all blown up and walled off.

If the dinning room is out of service, what are they using in place of it?

Thanks for the update, I saw some pictures that were posted by a guest to Joe's Hedo Facebook group. They've ripped up the tiles around the main pool, I'm guessing they will resurface with something that is less slippery when wet.

Please keep us all updated when you can as the renovations progress. I'm hoping to be able to take and share some pics of what's been done when we go in October.

We were just there and left on the 8th. They had setup a large tent down on the beach that they built a floor and stage for. They said that was going to be the dinning area, i have a picture at home i can upload later.

ya and Huricane season is just around the corner lmao seems like a crazy idea, but obviously necessary. we arrive January 28th, so plenty of time to be done gthe chaos!!

Hopefully there won't be one this year. Especially from this Saturday to next Saturday!

They are serving on the beach. I also heard that they are offering breakfast inside Pastafari as well. The resort is offering quite a bit for those that are being inconvenienced.

Here is a photo of the tent they set up. Its right over by the sand volleyball court. The raised end on the right had steps built up to it for a stage, and the whole thing had a plywood floor built for it. By the time we left they didnt have any furniture or anything out yet, so im not sure if they were just moving the tables down from the dinning area or what.

We are here right now, it's terrible..... The whole dinning room , prude pool, both restaurants are closed. There is plywood up all over this and the disco now has wood around it, so in essence more than half the resort is closed down.......the tent is not large enough for everyone they are using the tent and the prude grill for food service, we had to stand to eat the other night, not enough tables...and just took our food to our room last night again not enough room and the hotel is not full my any means. .the "extras" they are offering... 20pct off the spa, 30pct off the store a ricks cafe tour but only one Thursdays and a catamaran cruise but only on tues. Not the cruise to ricks... That the big extras... We got a sheet in our room on Monday night to tell us we had to sign up a day ahead for the cruise..and we have been here for two weeks, not like they didn't know...jack hammers start at around 7am and go all day,

What a crappy way to end your trip >.<, guess im glad we left when we did...not really. Taxgirl and I are already trying to plan our next trip, thinking spring of next year.

Yep really crappy, not to mention I asked about this on the hedo forum... Complete misguided, oh and I heard. Tuesday one of the porters showing someone new around telling them the pool would be closed 24 hours!
