We liked the tent and being close to the water. You might also miss out on the freebies they are throwing in for the inconvenience from the construction.

It has been said it changes weekly, but the last report was a free cruise on Tuesday.
A free shopping and ricks trip on Thursday.
Gift shop is open late hours and 20% off.

When we stayed at Sandals last December we had 1 of those candlelight dinner's on the beach under a nice white sheet tripod tent. Enjoyed it thoroughly! It cost more than a few nickels extra but was well worth it. You customize the menu during the day and they present it at dinner. Service and food was excellent. It was a 25th anniversary dinner of sorts. Hedo could offer something like to drive additional revenue. Nice touch!

Got home a week ago. Really was not that bad. Pastafari opened every night and for breakfast and a la carte at the new Prude dinning area.

What type of a la carte is at the Prude grill...? Is this something that's temporary until the construction is completed or will it stay like that from here on in?

We have had the private dinner a few times and I can say, worth the money.
It's an amazing experience and they do a great job.

We ate at the prude grill for dinner once during our stay (15-22 August). The appetizers were mainly sushi. They had 2-3 salads. The entrees were grilled steak/shrimp/chicken with sides of steak fries, veg, etc. It was a nice/different meal.

Wow, a little disappointed. Just booked our first trip yesterday for Sept 12-16. They did mention we might get a room upgrade because the special we signed up for was on the prude side and there were some renovations being done, but I had no idea of the extent of it. I would have waited had I known.
