    Hi everyone. I'm a complete newbie :)

Wanted to send out a quick hello to everyone on behalf of my boyfriend and I. We're very interested and excited to plan a vacation to Hedonism. Any suggestions on the best time of year to go?

By the way, all of you seem so friendly and welcoming. It's been fun to read your responses, suggestions, and stories on the forum.

    Cheers!

Hi there and welcome to the forums where you can either find--or ask for--answers to your specific questions.

As for the best time of year? There really is not a bad time of year to go and that is a fact. You will find trip reports from all months and everyone has a preference based on job restrictions, children at home, weather or group preferences, etc.

I prefer mid-late June personally as resort prices are reduced, airfares less expensive and easier to book flights, the pools at Hedo are warmer all the time, rainy and hurricane season has not really kicked into gear (last month on my 11th Hedo trip for 12 nights we had rain for only 3-4 hours total) and finally the week I choose for my group every year has not turned into a sold-out week so there are always lots of options for fun.

Anyway, look at your choices and decide was best fits YOUR schedule and needs/wants criteria.

You can't and won't make a bad choice.....that's the best part.

Welcome! I agree with The Travel Slut...there is really no bad time to go. We go in January to get a break from the Canadian winter, however, the prices are higher and the resort is close to or sold out. Whenever you go, you will have a blast!

Hi. Granted you will be nervous and your first visit will be overwhelming at times, especially your first day at the nude pool and hot tub. Stay close to each other and talk about what you see. You will witness people doing things you may never have dreamed of doing before you got there, however keep an open mind. You chose Hedo for a reason, trust each other and trust that almost all the people you meet at Hedo are great people with varying imaginations.
We are there at the same time, hopefully we'll have the chance to say hi :-)

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proudly proclaiming -- WOW! What a ride!"

    Next ride to Hedo: Jan 29th - Feb 16th 2016. :

Since you are from Ontario, it is simple to book a trip -- almost any day. Contact any Canadian T/A and look for packages with Airtransat, Westjet vacation, Sunwing etc. The cost is flight, all inclusive hotel, and ground transport. If you go online you can check prices for almost any date you might travel. It's easy. Done it many many times.

As for 'nervous'. Don't be. you are booking a vacation. That's it. Once you are there, and meet people, what you choose to do, or not do is totally up to you. Take clothes off, keep them on, eat too much, drink too much, go swimming, snorkeling, scuba, play etc. your choice, and yours alone.

But have a blast, and return a few months later, and again and again ...

Really, it is easier for we Canadians to book and fly. Hint: WestJet late afternoon (3:15 pm) out of YYZ is usually the lowest cost, returning about midnight a week later. Been there, done that -- frequently.

    Have fun

    PNK

So some of the best advice I've heard is on this site. But the absolute best advice was
" don't spend 2-3 days walking around and just looking. "
