    Newbie questions

Do we need to make reservations for the catamaran cruise? How far in advance should we make dinner reservations?

Yes, you need to reserve both the cat and the specalty restaurants, Harry San and Pastafari,
You can reserve the cat cruise ($55.00 pp) up to one week ahead, or the day before or any time in between Check the weather conditions.
Wet windy cruises are not fun, cancellations because of weather are rare.
As of April 2015, when we were there, restaurants could only be reservered on the same day as you wanted to attend.
This policy was introduced because people would book standing resv. for the whole week then only attend a few days.

We have booked the restaurants in advance with no problems. We have also had people wait until the day of the Cat cruise to book without problems, although it is suggested to do it in advance, if able. The other host of our group gets really sea sick if it is even just a little rough so she usually waits until that morning. Have a great time!

We want to do the cat cruise this Hedoween and can't find any mention of it on the H2 website. Is it an outside company that runs it and has no direct relationship with the resort? How do you book it in advance?

    Thanks!

You have to book it when you arrive at the resort, I do not believe you can book it ahead of time off-resort. However, you can email Hedo and find out.

I called our Hedo rep and asked this question. You do just book upon arrival. Hedoween is going to be a sold out week so I would suggest booking on arrival.

Yeah, probably right, we'll do that for sure. We get there a day or 2 before you. If you want us to sign you up, let us know, happy to help!

When did you last book a restuarant. Last April 2015, about mid month, we we're very specifically told by the lady taking the restaurant reservations, and the cat cruise reservation, that pre booking the specialty restaurants days ahead was defintly not allowed any more. Of course this being Jamaica, rules may have changed, but for the 17 days we were there in April, it definitly applied.

This was our experience too in March. They said they changed it because there were lots of no-shows

Oh wow, well we were there in February and we didn't have issues with that. It is good to know they changed the rules though, I think that is a great idea. Thanks!
